Sorry I can't find the statistics anymore. I sat in on a presentation of this very subject. While it makes us feel better, here in the U.S. States without the death penalty have lower crime rates. In fact it was found that some serial killers actually move to States with the death penalty to commit their crimes. Ted Bundy being one example. Personally, I'm for the death penalty but statistically it does nothing for crime. Sometimes you just have to kill a bastard.

im asking this because lately in the uk 2 girls were murdered that were only 12 yrs old and now 59% population of the uk want the death penalty reinstated.. i assume you already have the death penalty in the usa, but do you think it is effective reducing 1st degree murder and potential child molesters,would you like to see the death penalty removed in the united states or not.. i wonder if the death penalty will be reinstated in the uk what do you think, personally i dont think it will maybe the politicians are afraid they wont get as many votes.

it's based on the unreal tournament 2003 engine, so it looks pretty good.
decent gameplay, a lot of innovative features for shooters.. best of all, it's free.. wondering if anyone else has taken a shot at it yet?

So I got the game to work and applied online. They told me to see my email to know how to verify my account. Only problem is they never sent me an email. It pisses me off because I can only do the first marksmen course and I've gotten "Sharpshooter" every time so it's time to move on.
By the way, if hitting a target in this game is realistic then I'm a killing machine. I think I'll sleep better tonight in that knowledge.

I remember going to a door with an elder. The girl that answered it was from my school. That's embarrassing enough. But she also happened to be the girl I was making out with and fondling the night before at a party. She also happened to be the girl that when it got too close to having sex I got up and left. Needless to say I was shaking in my loafers because I was sure I was busted. However, she didn't say a word. She just said no thank you and winked at me as we turned away from the door. I never did have sex with her, one of a few encounters I regret because she was hot.

I'm going to be an ass here. I don't feel sorry for them any more than I felt sorry for those two women in Afghanistan who were kidnapped for trying to convert muslims to christianity. You are making a concience choice to go into a dangerous place and tell people that their God is false. The only reason it worked back in the old days was because missionaries had military backing and if the heathens didn't convert they just killed them. It is never ok to kill someone but they put themselves in that position even though it has been widely publicized that Abu-Syef and his cronies were on a kidnapping spree. The only sad part to me is that they died for some old men in Brooklyn.

Deleting A Poster Akin To DF'ing?

amongst other things, she says that she hated df'ing when she was a dub, so she abhores the banning of certain posters from this site, because it seems so similar to df'ing.. i think her opinion is of great value and warrants looking at closely.
is suspending someone for the contents of their posts justifiable then?

I also recieved an email from her on the matter. I haven't really been following the moderator banning drama. Mainly because I don't care but that's just me. Although, I don't think I've ever been on a message board that didn't have a moderator that didn't have to ban someone. Of course with all the recent bannings I'm wondering if it is people testing the boundaries or mods flexing their egos. My posts won't change so if I get banned, oh well. In fact I don't even know what the rules of this board are but I'm guessing people would have some sense of judgement on their own. If not, that is what the mods are for.
As for Moe, I totally get where she's coming from and liken it to the feeling I get when I'm approached by someone on the street asking if I've accepted Jesus in my life. Since anger and vomiting are not feelings I enjoy I wouldn't expect Moe to like them either thus she did what she thought was right for her.

laser surgery
by finnrot ini just got back from newport beach, where i had laser surgery on my eyes.
since the 5th grade, i have had to wear glasses.
each year my eyes have have needed a new prescription for stronger glasses into my 30's.

Most unhypocritical religion which one?
by haujobbz inthink about it when you chose to become a jw why did you choose that belief.. was it because you witnessed there good works or there following the scriptures closely or even there so called similarity to 1st century christians.. when i think about it, i didnt really witness these things it was the books i studied which told me this because if i had really looked closely at the activities and jw roots i would of realised they werent the pure religion they claimed to be.now i think about it why didnt i take my study more serious not just reading what the jws gave me but looking to outside sources for more information, im really gutted i didnt do this now.
i mean did i look at other beliefs to see how they functioned nope i just believed the books i studied and that was it and i thought i wasnt gullible.. so now in the situation most of us are in today if you were to look at most religious christian beliefs today which would you say follows the bible closely and imitates the 1st century christians the closest,sticks to gods and christ teachings closely.
also have any of you thought about joining another faith and which one?

Tough call. I know some expect me to say Wicca but I'm not going to. I think once a religion becomes organized and the organization becomes more important than the followers then hypocrisy is injected. I don't think you have to go to church to be a good christian anymore than you have to join a coven to be a good Wiccan. I think the Hyspocrisy starts when people are allowed to make rules that control others.
