Seattle is expensive but really cool. I would say anywhere in the Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia area. Kitsap county is really laid back also with tons of parks. You get your choice of mountains or ocean or city all within an hour of each other.

Bush to Divert Funds to Church Groups
by pettygrudger indon't care how you are slanted "politically" - this should be of great concern to all americans:bush plans to let religious groups get building aid.
by eric lichtblau.
ashington, jan. 22 the bush administration plans to allow religious groups for the first time to use federal housing money to help build centers where religious worship is held, as long as part of the building is also used for social services.

There is no plus to federally funding any type of religous institution. I'm not an atheist but even I can see the huge amount of danger this presents. I swear this country is regressing 100 years every month or so.

Why Do Some Defend the Butcher of Baghdad?
by Perry ina bbc correspondent documentary aired on june 23, 2002, exposed how the iraqi regime staged these processions: instead of burying dead children immediately in accordance with muslim custom, iraqi authorities hold the bodies in cold storage until enough bodies are available to conduct a "parade of dead babies.
"15 in one such event, the iraqi regime exhibited some 60 coffins, decorated with large photographs of the deceased, around martyr square in baghdad while government-controlled demonstrators chanted anti-u.s. slogans and demanded the elimination of un sanctions, all for the benefit of foreign reporters who were present.
on camera, an iraqi identified as ali, described as a former member of saddam's inner circle living in northern iraq, related the account of a taxi driver who had explained to him how it worked: "he went to najaf [a town 100 miles south of baghdad] a couple of days ago.

Glad to see linear thought is still alive and well. I thought for a second there we may have become enlightened. I don't think there is anyone who supports Saddam even in his own country. But blind Bush followers seem too thick headed to realize that anyone who disagrees with U.S. foreign policy aren't in favor of Saddam. This kind of Black and White thinking is immature and unrealistic. When was the last time you heard something about our war on Terrorism. Despite his best efforts Bush has provided no link between Al Quieda and Saddam. Your all being played. I think some of you even have your own questions about what Bush is doing but like a good Dub you push away those questions in favor of blind nationalism.

The fact is Bush failed horribly to provide a link between Saddam and Bin Laden. In fact the more they dug the opposite was true. They can't stand each other. The coming Iraq war has nothing to do with 9/11. Bush is just playing on American fears after the fact to justify business interests. You can shout 9/11 from the rooftops but that will not change the facts. I really don't blame Saddam for getting pissy about the U.N. resolutions. How would you like a no fly zone over Texas and Florida? You cry Kuwait. Well, we were the ones who ok'd the operation in the first place (how quickly we forget). But his crimes in Kuwait! Those stories told in Congressional hearings were later proven either false or very suspect.
I'm not here to defend Saddam. By all means we need his ass outta there. But we are loosing focus on what is important, war on terrorism. But he paid families of suicide bombers! They bombed Israel not us and I have little doubts that Saddam did that to give a big "fuck you" to the U.S. A report was released last year by the CIA that said Saddam was a less threat now than he has been in ten years. I don't see that quoted on the news every night. I have to say it, people who see things in black and white because they were told to are no different than Dubs. Stop believing all the propoganda being thrown your way and think critically. This war is nothing more than a "wag the dog" that will cost us blood. But we'll be made to feel ok about it because their coffins will draped in the American flag. They'll be called heros while the stock market goes up and we'll all feel good knowing they died for the American way.

Do we come here to "convince" ourselves?
by bittersweet in.
ok...so the other day my husband(he is still an active witness) starts questioning me about why i come to x-jw sites.. he said the reason people come to these types of sites,is to convince themselves that they made the right decision to leave the"truth".i told him i come here to get support from others who feel they were tricked into believing something that wasn't true.he knows i feel my life has been taken away from me because i wasted so many years following their doctrines.i told him it helps me to know i am not alone in my feelings.he is still convinced that people are afraid they are wrong, and just come here to keep finding reasons to stay away from the "truth".he doesn't understand that we know what the real truth is.. i was just curious what everyone else thought about this.do you feel we are "convincing" ourselves that we made the right decision to leave?

I'm waaay past needing convincing. I came here by accident one day and now I'm that house guest who won't leave despite some people wishing I would. It is nice to be able to tell a JW joke and people actually get "it". However, I'm so completely over the WTS that sometimes I have a hard time relating. It seems like a distant bad memory.

Poll: Which Witch is Better?
by gsx1138 inok, i stole this idea off the infidels.org forums.. sabrina the teenage witch?.
the charmed women?.
willow rosenburg?.

I personally like Willow. I've been sprung on her since season one. Alyson Hannigan rules.
Plus Dark Willow is just plain bad ass. Look at me a grown man acting like a 12 year old girl at a Backstreet Boys concert.

Help she is trying to get to my son PART 6
by Jesika inwell, my x gotta another certified letter today.
it was a copy of the court order to have my son interviewed by the court's family services.
so, no further harm done today.

I'm still confused. The only way she has any rights to see your son is if you are proven to be unfit parents. It sounds to me like this will be her next move so get ready to have your past dredged up real bad. Also, can't you file a restraining order against her? I would talk to your lawyer about getting one after the trial is over.

France is a "Pain in the Ass"
by JH ini changed my topic to this:.
why does france always go against britain and us policies?
should we still consider france as an ally?
-
gsx1138
Last I checked France was their own country. Just because they don't bow down and kiss our ass like Tony Blair doesn't mean they are wrong. I get so tired of this everyone has to agree with us and be like us mentality. They can just see through Bush's bullshit, it's not that big of a deal. Like it's already been said, we're going to war regardless.

Wiccan interested virus author jailed
by frogit ingood a last someone who causes mayhem by writing computer viruses has been jailed, but notice this guy has a interest in wiccan religion.. "another message aluded to vallor's interest in an ancient british pagan religion, which read: "bide ye the wiccan laws ye must, in perfect love and perfect trust.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/2678773.stm.
thought you all would be interested in this, as we have had a few wiccan posts hear.. .

The Pagan population is pretty computer intensive so a header like that would have a good chance of being opened. It is a way to play on peoples interests. Other than that I'm not sure what you're trying to say.
