i sent a .pdf to a few friends and one of them betrayed me and forward it to a elder i know, along with the emails of the recipients.
i cant believe i was so naive to think that i can trust someone..stupid.

Just tell the elders your computer was purchased second-hand at a garage sale and probably demonized and that you had nothing to do with it.
they tell those leaving that "satan is buffeting you" as to incite guilt.
not that different from the jehovah's witnesses, eh?.

you know, the one from the usa branch/brooklyn.. well i ventured a question to a relative who is an elder here in the uk to see if a similar letter had been sent to elders here.
he knows i was an elder and he lets me joke with him to a certain level about how controlling the society is lately.. he confirmed that one has been received and he laughed because it says you can use a d-ring binder (which i guess is the equal uk term for the us "spiral bound" as long as you don't let worldly people do it and that you have to watch the brother do it.).
i asked whether sisters were allowed to do it and he said even the society wouldn't go that far and smiled.. sooooooo .... i am wondering if this uk letter has had the "sister" stuff pulled because it is such an embarrassment?.
I read it as the elder believes the Society wouldn't go so far as to forbid the sisters from binding it. I bet the US letter would shock him.

After I disassociated, my wife was still in, but fading. I asked her to help me decorate the tree and she was reluctant at first, but started to enjoy it. She now (disassociated) loves to sing Christmas songs and decorate for Christmas. Her whole outlook in life is very different from her JW upbringing that she is more vibrant, happy and spiritual.

If the angels rejoiced to celebrate the birth of Christ ... it should be good enough for humans. True, we don't know the exact day that Jesus was born, but it was not forbidden to express our thanks that a Savior was born to us.
Luke 2:13-15 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
That's what Christmas is all about. To give glory to God, peace on earth and goodwill toward mankind.

The "Shepherd The Flock of God" must be available to lawyers and media. The exposure will hurt the organization and they will have to answer for their secretive procedures. Their own publications hurt them more than anything!

What I have learned is the each congregation runs things differently depending on the elders. Some congregations are lax with their rules ... other congregations can be real asshole-ish and make your life miserable. It certainly isn't a united enforcement that is shared in every congregation.

If they sell off too many of the KH and try to merge into one that is too far away for most to travel or just inconvenient ... many will start to fade. They re-assigned alot of people from my old congregation to one that was almost 45 minutes away. That wasn't going to fly for most of them.
