Bethel is in grand theft auto 4

while playing grand theft auto 4 today i discovered that in the mock new york city of the game called liberty city there is a building exactly where the watchtower would be called instead "clock tower".

each place has a mock name i guess to avoid trouble.

outside of the buildings are shipping carts full of boxes which i guess have magazines and books inside them.

Touching on Pleiades again?!!

i received the may 1, 2008 watchtower yesterday.

my husband was reading through the article entitled gods power revealed in the stars.

they included pictures of stars and galaxies and one of the pictures just happened to be pleiades star cluster!

Are active JW's seeing the light?

i ask this because i had a strange experience this week.

for a brief bit of background knowledge i'm being shunned like most on here, but i see witnesses every day in my place of work and at the school gate, there's no avoiding them, and like many of you, i've found it really hard to get over the hurt and heartache this has caused.. yesterday my mum (an active witness) went into hospital to have a tumor removed (successfully) as i'm the only daughter nearby to help, the other witnesses were asking the elders what they were supposed to do if they wanted to visit my mum and i was at her bedside, should they talk to me or turn round and go out again.. one elder said to do that would be utterly ridiculous, of course i should be spoken to.

he was very annoyed even at the suggestion.

That elder who has a different opinion of the "shunning" is showing signs of being apostate. (Good!) He's not waiting on Jehovah to make the announcement that shunning is stupid.

The name "Jehovah's Witnesses" is NOT scriptural!

it is not infrequently that jehovah's witnesses make the statement that the name of their organization is "scriptural.

tony wills, in his book "a people for his name" makes an interesting point about the misrepresentation of that name as "scriptural" and the appropriateness of this name-change by the impostor "bible scholar" rutherford -.

[rutherford] showed the need of a new name by such texts as the following:.

I can't recall the scripture, but I believe the name comes from one that goes:

"You are my Witnesses ..."

Thus came Jehovah's Witnesses.

Should have died with Rutherford.

k, just for fun,.... i was watching the movie prophecy the other day and viggo mortenson's portrayal of lucifer was rather good imo.

i thought of another movie i saw, constantine where peter stormare played the same part, somewhat differently of course but a well done portrayal nonetheless.
