just an observation.
by looking at the active threads view, you can see that there are more people replying or posting than actually reading threads.
there are posts 4 or 5 pages back with only 10 readers and the threads coming to the top on the front page are pushing messages with half a dozen views down the list.

I see your point. It could be classified as circular reasoning also;eg.'since everything is started by something...someone had to put something there to start with.....therefore this proves a creator'.

Because thats how humans communicate....with descriptive words. Its part of language.Why do you need a title for the work you do? So when people ask....you can give them your title....and they know by your title what you do for work. Why dinky....do you need a title for the work you do?

The argument from design is fundamentally flawed. What they really mean is "We see the complexity found throughout the known universe and assume or prove that complexity means design, and from this infer a belief in a Designer or God." Such an argument rests on the strength of the correlation between complexity and design.
I don't know if it is flawed....if it is possibly correct. And it is POSSIBLY correct.....true?
Because it is the only KNOWN explanation many people can come up with...is true.
Emotions, love, relationships etc. seem to point me the direction of a God who cares. These are feelings and not material.
Why would a loving God let his creation suffer? Thats the tough one for me and I simply do not understand it?
I was looking at a chart yesterday of a digestive system from the doctor and could not help believe in a designer. It was like a car with all it's parts in order....one part complmenting the other. could time and circumstances produce this kind of complexity?

If it is the common sense of people that many NATURALLY believe out of perseived logic , and someone gave these types of people a title.....then I feel thats cool.
If it is prescribed by someone, and a person follows others who are of the same line of thought to the extent that all conform to fit .....THE GROUP....then you might as well stay a dub.

Not only do we have to rely on the ones who knew him to be truthful.....we also have to rely on those it was passed on to....to be truthful. Then we have to rely on the CHURCH who decided which books would make up the cannon...to be truthful....not add things or take away....not change ANYTHING.
We would have to conclude God guided all these men through this time period to write down things correctly, keep it from being tampered with, so we could have his pure word.
Did God EVER command men to make a book that all mankind should follow as Gods word to us???????????????

but just in case you're at a 'loose end', here's something to give you a little 'light relief'.
I remember feeling pissed. I said" oh!.....so we have to pay for them twice now! Others thought the same thing.
I don't remember one person who liked the idea of asking for the donation for the worldwide work. Most I worked with didn't ask....just gave it away. It was easier and less embarrasing to give it away.
We had a special envelope that was carried in your bookbag, and when money WAS given.....we were sure to let the householder see that their donation went in the special envelope.
I don't remember too well but.....I think much of that envelope money, ended up at WINCHELS DONUTS at breaktime......which was about 45 minutes into service......after....we stopped at some yardsales.
