guy showed up at my door to see me.. i had attended some meetings for a few weeks back in early 2006 as an appeasment for my mother and had spoken with an elder because he asked what my intentions were.
i of course told them that i wanted to come back.

It's not proceedure for an elder to call on a DFed individual with a young baptized guy. DFed ones are to be called on by elders only so I'm surprized at the manner you were called on.

hello all... ok, i have a question for any takers: deuteronomy 14:21 says this:.
21 "you must not eat any body [already] dead.
so, it is obvious that this is why they could not eat a animal that they found that had died, say from natural causes.
Nothing to add except to give EVERYONE a big pat on the back for their awesome input on such an important subject.

i talked with my father in law yesterday... he is very much a simple minded man, deeply fanatical about the religion.. he said to me "you do have to realize that it's the truth, you see the truth never changes like other religions".
i wanted to vomit in my mouth, but i just remained silent, no need to draw undue attention to myself, or about my true feelings.
as far as anyones concerned i'm just inactive.. but i was on the tip of talking about many things that change, and if they change they say the light is getting brighter.
The WTBTS prides itself in saying that truth doesn't change but rather it "refines", or "makes adjustments".
When the society changed it's belief on who the " higher powers" were from Jehovah and Jesus to Secular authorities it wasn't a refining they did or an adjustment, it was an entire opposite idea. It was the same as will those in Sodom and Gommorah being ressurected from a yes to no to yes to no.
The sad thing is that when you point out these inconsistencies, it usually has no effect on them.

LMAO Mary....well, since ol' Gumbers is ascared of the ouija board, perhaps it was the WT publications that caused him to levitate.....somebody had better tell him to get rid of those books right away.....every one of 'em.and while he's at it, he'd be best to cancel his membership at Club Jehovah as well. A green rubber toy can't be to careful these days.Funny levitation should come up. Just the other day I found a site about science and it had a video on there showing how to levitate like David Blain does. It's really easy and looks like the real thing and so.......I told my wife I could levitate and had her watch me. When I went up in the air she about pooped her pants and asked me what was I doing and said that if I really did that she would leave the house. After I laughed my ass off for about 5 minutes as she was getting more and more concerned I had to show her how I did it. She was relieved. The point is....witnesses are so afraid of anything that has been demonized by the WTBTS that they live in fear of these kinds of things not giving any thought that there just might be another way things happen besides the workings of the demunz. I think your mother is the reason for most of the attitude you express here on JWD toward the witnesses and your family.
The abuse you suffered clouds over any good you might see in the rest of them were it not for your mother who oviously has severe mental problems.
Hang in there and do what you reasonably think is right towards them.

in the congregation you attended/or attend, for new ones that come, did/do the members address them as "brother so and so" / "sister so and so" ??.
or do new ones have to wait for a period of time to prove their "worthiness" of being addressed in that way?.
