  Yes.

  I was raised a witness and believed they had the only truth to be had for 40 years.

  I made the truth "my own" by WANTING to learn, by WANTING to tell others about it, and by living it.

  Many witnesses do not make it their own by leaving it for no good reason, by never being affected by what they hear, or by trying their best to live it. These ones have NEVER believed nor taken the time to learn what was available to them. These ones only go through the motions so as not to...... get into trouble by those in authority, to be liked by fellow witnesses, or to survive armageddon which they at least possibly believe in. They do not like being a witness but believe they must live the life as one just in case the witnesses have the truth.

  in mesquite, texas, sabrina ballantine says she was fired from razzoo's for refusing to sing happy birthday.

  she is a jw, who does not believe in celebrating birthdays and singing this song.. "razzoo's settles lawsuit over religious firing.".

  ok i just spoke with over 50 jw's tonight about birthdays and other wt goodies. and i never lost ONE agruement not a single ONE. talking to jw's is like taking candy from a baby, they dummie up so fast it's amazing. the great part is i got about 5or 6 jw teenagers and directed them to FREEMINDS.ORG. and other wts lies that they are studiing this week at the Khell. the young jw kids really want to learn about the wt. and i gave it to them in a way they will not forget,

  Why don't you give us all a rundown of some of these conversations if you don't mind so that we can be like you in your success in not getting in trouble by the elders for speaking out against the Organisation. How many have you gotten out so far? Did those teenagers whom you gave the Freeminds site to told any of their parents yet? How did they resond to you about the site? Can I worship you?

  When I go to the assembly this Friday and see a brother lookin at a real pretty sisters butt, I'm gonna ask him if he truly thinks he can have Jehovah's Holy Spirit and a womans butt in his heart at the same time. Then I'm gonna ask him if he really thinks he's gonna survive armageddon that will be here in the next few years since he always stares at pretty butts.

  my dad passed away in december and i had to fly to south africa for his funeral.

  both my parents and just about all the extended family are devout witnesses.

  the funeral talk was held at the local kh.

  It sounds like your dad was a good guy by the responses about him.

  I'm glad you weren't shunned by all but frankly you should have been according to JW current teachings. Had your dad been DFed or been a witness not in good standing they would have not had your dads talk in the kingdom hall. Witnesses teach that a DFed one can be helped or talked to if they are on the side of the road with a flat tire and really need assistence, but talking to one because of even extreeme emotional moments is forbidden. I was at a funeral talk recently and an elders son was there who is disfellowshipped ( they were related to the deceased) and they ate together afterwards as the talk was in a rec hall since the KH was too small and they had a meal afterwards. Many others also talked to him. Witnesses break the rules when they see fit and 99% of them think the DF policy is a bunch of hooey anyways at least to the degree it's carried out.

  i get emails like this all the time.

  some jw gets upset at the stuff on my site, and wanting to add more weight/shock value to what they say, they either mention in passing that they are "not one of jehovah's witnesses" or are a child.

  Write her back and ask why the WTBTS doesn't do the same thing and ask the Catholic Church for information when they write all their smut on them and other religions in their two magazines.
