MY APOLOGIES TO ALL

looking back over the last few weeks, i think i've been unnessarily rude to some posters and i just want to apologize to anyone who has been on the receiving end of my anger recently.. i believe that i'm so angry, dismayed, devastated and heartbroken over what's happening to my brother in law, that i've been taking it out on others and that's not right.

it makes absolutely no difference what i think of the wts as a whole, or whether or not americans have a universal healthcare system......none of that makes any difference whatsoever when someone you love and has been like your brother for 35 years is dying and there's not a fucking thing we can do about it.. my sister just called me and there's more bad news, and that's that his disease has now progressed into the acute myeloid leukemia which means he cannot start the therapy they were going to give him, as this is far more serious now.

they want to start chemo right away, but his blood counts aren't up high enough for him to survive.

Do You Think Most People Are Prejudiced ----Black, White, Red, etc.???

after reading the terrific thread about the black harvard professor and the allegations being thrown around, i wonder if anyone might not show prejudice in one way or another.

i kind of think, anyone can be guilty of it.

i know some blacks that seriously look down upon other blacks simply because of a variation in color.

I think that's an impossible question to answer because we as individuals haven't a clue what is really in the mind of people, most of us are unaware of the attitudes of all the various cultures and how they are taught.

I think if you generlized your question to the U.S. and had an age group in mind, you might get some answers with some credibility behind them.

Anybody remember a QFR on JW nurses tattling on blood transfusions?

i've looked on jwn (first) and watchtower library (second) and can't find a questions from readers that i thought i remembered from the 70s or 80s.

maybe it wasn't actually a qfr.

anyway, the gist of the question was, what does a conscientious jw nurse do when, in the course of her duties, she becomes aware of a fellow jw who is accepting a blood transfusion or getting an abortion.

They use Leviticus 5:1 as their scriptual basis for taking the stance they do on telling on a publisher who takes blood or has an abortion and it comes to the attention of a witness employee at a hospital.

New International Version

Leviticus 5 Read This Chapter
5:1 "'If a person sins because he does not speak up when he hears a public charge to testify regarding something he has seen or learned about, he will be held responsible." They totally misapply this scripture as usual. In the case of a blood transfusion or an abortion being accepted by a publisher at a hospital, this scripture has absolutely no bearing on either proceedure. It simply means if a man was defrauded by a fellow Israelite, he would go to the city elders who sat at the front gates and any witness to the crime the man was complaining about......was required to speak up as a witness. Happy Circumcision Day. (Bit late sorry)

please accept my apologies for the belated greetings.. january 1st was the 'feast of the circumcision' of baby little j.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/feast_of_the_circumcision.

assuming baby j travelled out of the birth canal on 25th december then on the 1st january his little foreskin would have been removed.. what a feast!

When my dad saw my dinger and the doc asked if he wanted me circumcised, my dad said "you better leave it on doc, it looks like he'll need all the skin he has".

Uncircumcision rules!!!! Better orgasms, protection against invaders, and other stuff. Just imagine having no eyelids and think of all that dirt that would get in there. Plus, it gives a guy an excuse to clean it longer in case someone wonders why your spending so much time cleanin your dinger.....you just turn to them and say......"this is why.....ya damn dipshit"!

Now, I ain't sayin i'm not, but what looks prettier.....an anteater, or a turtlehead?
