okay, since i've been attending a new church, i've had the opportunity to sit on three committees.
i've gone hog wild and volunteered for everything trying to make up for all the years that i couldn't do anything as a female in the kh.
anyway, last night i stirred the shit in one of the meetings by voicing my opinion on how something in the church is run.
Well, as I see it.....according to the bible....all the qualifications for appointments were for men.
HUSBANDS, of one wife, and all the other stuff..... was pointed at men. Even God, Jesus, the Angels that rebelled.....men.
The angels who vivsited Abraham....men. All the kings in the bible were men. The older MEN are always spoken of in the bible.
I not one who is sure the bible is for real....but if it were.....I would read it as men have the responsibilities

Putting all seriousness aside........a sweet personality can overide beauty. Beauty is what you see the fastest of the two.

I personally like the one about stoning your wife or son or daughter......if they worshipped another God. Why didn't he just consume them in fire like the other stories. Make you throw rocks at you kids or your wife you love until they were dead..........wow...................don't think I would have fit in.......................then they could stone me.

As the ozzmeister pointed out..........they had all the answers. All cults have the right answers....thats why those in them judge others as unworthy until your one of them.
Christianity isn't far off. Go tell a babtist pastor you would like to become a deacon or an elder but you don't believe in the trinity, hellfire, immortality of the soul.....and see how he reacts.
or anything similar in any church.
If the bible were a clearcut book..........which you think it would be.............there would be no divisions in churches.
apparently, 'causing divisions' is a disfellowshipping offense for jehovah's witnesses.. now, i have a question for you: .
when someone in the congregation is 'causing divisions' by pointing out the injurious criminal behavior of someone else in the congregation, who is responsible for 'causing divisions'?.

Imagine you have a little 7 year old girl and she begins to have nightmares and dosen't want to be alone. She begins to do poorly in school. One days she tells you brother .....has been touching her and making her do things.
Youare outraged and you go to the elders. They call in the accused...he denies it.....they tell you to forget it and "leave it in Jehovah's hands". The nightmares continue and your daughter is messed up emotionally.
Now you are really pissed so you go to the authorities and deal with it your way. The accused man goes to the brothers and says your making him trouble. They tell you to back off and quit "causing divisions". You cannot drop this as you "know" your daughter isn't lying.
Bottom line......you get DFed for making trouble and going ahead of Jehovah's arrangement.

I personally was a Organisation man and questioned but didn't pursue any doubts.
I still see this" practice"....as wrong. To be inclined that way ..it seems....cannot be helped.

it has been reported that in extreme cases,the female may even be shrewd enough to entrap the unsuspecting male into a longer term form of servitude and punishment referred to as marriage.. apperently,men are much more susceptible to this scam after beer is administered and sex offered by the predatory female.. please!
It used to make me frisky..........now I just want to take a 3 hour nap........or go to sleep for the night at 7:30 PM ...... of coarse the funny kind of smoke to go with it doesn't help much...............but I sleep good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well......I hope to hell I'm not the only guy who posts a comment about this but.....I like #4.
My wife likes short hair and I like it a little long. I think sometimes we need to do what WE like and not please others taste all the time. Giving up our wants is OK once in a while to please others, but how we feel about ourself has an effect on how we act. Do what makes YOU comfortable.....unless it creates a big problem for you......then it's not always worth it.

this article in the los angeles times today, has been bothering me all day.
this sweet little 5 year old girl was abducted, brutally raped and killed and now they have arrested a suspect who was just recently acquitted of charges of molestation of 2 other little girls.. the reasons for which he was acquitted are so flimsy and facts that were not allowed to be presented, could possibly have turned the tables on him.. now they are asking this question: "did the system fail to protect samantha?".
read this and ask yourselves, especially you jws reading this:.
The next time a cop pulls you over and tries giving you a ticket....tell him according to the bible he needs two or more witnesses to implicate you and see how he deals with it.
This is about how much sense the societys policies make on this issue. I think the next change of any policy within the borg....will be in the child abuse catagory
when individuals leave the organization for conscience reasons, it is evidence that god is shepherding and protecting the flock by doing a sifting work.
when people leave another christian religion it is evidence that the religion is morally corrupt and unable or unwilling to provide spiritually for their members.
when a christian from another denomination lies, he is acting according to his own disposition being from the father of the lie.
