by deaconbluez inhey guys, i've looked in the "best of" section and elsewhere, and i've found a few good ones, but i'm working on a project where i need quotes from literature where the gb/fds are said to be the "spokesman of god", "divine channel", and other things of that sort.
any help would be most appreciated.

Ray Franz made a good point. He pointed out that biblically an object is NEVER greater than what the object represents. Blood represents life and the society has put the refusal of blood BEFORE life itself and has made abstinance of blood greater than what it stands for....which is life. Why, those old bastards oughta be slapped right square in the nutsack I tell ya!

WTS SAYS ELDERS SINS DON'T COUNT!
by Amazing insometime ago i posted a discussion on h20 about the nov. 1991 kingdom ministry school for elders / ms held at woodburn, oregon.
during that school session the co stated that elders who commit a serious sin, even a gross sin, did not have to be removed if the event took place two or three years prior, and the elder continued to be respected, giving evidence of jehovahs blessing.
the co stipulated that this only applied to elders and ms and not to regular publishers.

He cited an older Kingdom Ministry, but I was never able to find it. Now, I have it, and it applies specifically to Elders.
If I remember correctly, there was also an early to mid 1972 to 1976 Watchtower that discussed this very matter but it applied to anyone who had commited even a gross sin many years ago. It said if the person was doing well and had evidence of Jehovahs blessing, then why dig it up again.....or something to that effect. Later that idea was dropped and all serious and gross sins had to be brought to the Elders attention so as to not "cover over any sin". Achan was used as an example. I wished I knew where the article was but I cannot remember.

First of all Terry, I really miss your avatar of you without your shirt on that showed off your boobies.
The entire concept of this thread comes from the human mind which only holds the answers to what it has been fed. To think a human mind can reasonably figure out what was BEFORE creation is assuming there was a time when there was nothing..........which is a human concept. We know diddly squat about time and eternity so why try to put it in a box that we can understand?
