  Looking for a Photo of Fred Franz

  do any of you recall seeing a photograph in one of the society's publications of fred franz where he is giving a public talk at an assembly and has his left arm stretched out and on his left hand is a masonic ring.

  it may have been in one of the special international assembly brochures.. with this great group of sleuths i thought some may have come across it..

  i just received a brochure from a midwestern travel agency operated by jws that specialized in bethel tours.

  i found this excerpt, relating to one item on the itinerary, as visit toe the holoccaust museum in washington quite interesting: "the museum is dedicated to presenting the story of how more than 30,000 jehovah's witnesses were persecuted by the nazis.

  apparently the tour operators consider the slaugther of more than 6 million jews unworthy of mention!

  See the 1933 letter to Hitler from Rutherford, you will see there the support he claims for the Nazis at that point, I wonder when, if ever, they first published something condemning the Nazi atrocities, not just for killing Bible Students (as they were still known in Germany till after the war I think) ?

  Apart from the shocking attitudes the writer of the article displays, he shows the usual WT lack of bible knowledge, saying the book of "Revelation" was the last to be written.

  He also says the Time of the End began in 1799, so they were still teaching that date in the thirties ?

  They did write the most utter crap at the time, and a lot of it, as we can see from the article, would be unacceptable to anyone today.

  Just Got Back from an EXJW Xmas lunch

  9 adults and 4 kids.

  santa came and gave out pressies, and i wore my fsm t. shirt and some gig had massive puddings.

  a great time was had by all.

  "pastor russell's miracle wheat" is known, but has anyone ever heard of miracle oil?

  i found this ad in january 15, 1922 golden age:.

  i found a notice in june 24, 1922 new york times that "upper lubrication" of manhattan renamed itself to "upper lubrication co.", but that's all..

  Sort of early MLM ? The Bible Students were in to that quick as a flash no doubt, like modern day Dubs.

  I'm not surprised Rutherford ran the ad, he liked to be well oiled !

  my personal perception of my own would be that religion is an organized agreement.

  to a set of lies, cultivated upon human ignorance, fear and superstitions, structured.

  on a framework of power and control.

  It is, as Rutherford said, " a snare and a racket", the only thing he got right, mind you he was an authority, he had just started one.

  His comment is a bit like Bernie Madoff saying "Beware of Ponzi schemes".

  just have enough time to let you know our donut shop is open now.

  after one week of training in pittsburg and one week of training at our new store we are now up and running.

  i did a soft opening with little fan fare.
