Hope4others:
You brought back some fond daydreaming memories
"hey there's jimmy!"
how many people hear that from the a$$emblies?
the funny thing, if we kept following the advice, the "more than the usual" would become the usual.
and there is only so much attention one can pay to the topic at hand.. and especially when it is the same crap you have heard every year since you were two.

When I would go to the DC.... I would try to pay attention but my mind would just wander off into lala land....
looking off into a distance..."is that building on fire?"
I wonder where so n so is sitting, i bet they are in the good seats
I'm going to leave early tomorrow to get some good seats this sun is hot as hell
I don't like her
i don't like him
I can't stand that family
please don't sit them next to me, it's too hot
ooh he's kinda cute...is that his wife?
i gotta pee... i bet the line is too long....
That building is on fire where's the firetruck?
Then when we had the review a week later I wonder how I missed certain key points
i didnt go to my prom because it was not allowed.
i didnt even bother to ask.
i don't regret it alot, but it would be nice to have a picture or two for memory sake.
I barely went to my 8th grade graduation because it was held in a church. I was like " I'm going to my graduation! it's not my fault it's in a church! " my grandparents didnt go...I know deep down inside they wanted to. My highschool graduation was also in a church and they came
I guess they were like "screw that! we are not missing her big day"
It's funny cause some things I was just not going to take no for an answer. I guess I should have done that with my prom too! but sometimes as a jw kid.... you had to choose your battles.

The weird thing is when you are born into the religion so many things are taught from birth that you don't even know that it isnt normal until you tell someone...
food critic for a gormet magazine.
movie critic....i'd be good at that.
travel book writer.....i should move that to the top.
working in a coffee house
I would love to own a coffee house....
i would have tons of books, low lights, a fire place, comfortable seating, just the right music, muffins, scones, a soup for the day, sandwiches cookies...oh and the very best coffee
I'm really good at service...I love to make people comfortable...if something isnt right, i take pleasure in fixing the problem.
i remember going out in circus because it was what we did.
the idea of having to conduct a study or being responsible for a return visit and, therefore, eternal state of existence, caused knots in the stomach and massive dread.
actually having to commit to field circus long term with no hope of escape to save someone's life was a real downer.
i did not mind the rv because that gave me something to do when i did not want to do door to door. 95% of the time you would not catch the person anyway and that was alright to me. I did not want a Bible study because
I. really did not have the time, I was just barely keeping my head above the water.
2. I just did not want the commitment.
I think the only people who want bible studies are the older ones who are retired and have nothing else to do.
special talk given by losch to members of the bethel family.
not to be posted on the internet.. preserve the spirit of the bethel family -.
g. losch.
I remember volunteering to clean the restrooms at the assembly. They made a big deal out of changing the rolls of toilet paper....it was at least 10 sisters working one small restroom...it was real goofy, I think I changed two rolls of tissue because there wasnt much to do.
jesus said to imitate him not god.
in the us the only increase comes from immigrants.. q (6) what can we do if we cannot move to where the need for kingdom proclaimers is greater?
imitate jesus' attitude toward people.
The experiences that the wt gives are never local. they are always from some far away land.....I have yet to read an experience like:
Peter from Iowa decided to quit his job at AT&T to pioneer.
in the new may awake magazine there is an article "is philanthropy the answer?
i knew what the answer.
was going to be before i even read it.
As I JW I never would give a dime to charity....
Now I work in oncology and I see the suffering that people go through fighting cancer....It's so hard for people to fight cancer and try to work and take care of themselves and/or their family. Charity makes a huge difference. money for research and programs are so vital. Jesus healed people who later died but he still healed them because he had mercy for them and we should have mercy also and give....
