  i guess that would include tongue kissing, touching etc....the things two people do when they dig each other.

  heavy petting was a huge no no!.

  i remember sitting in front of three elders as a teenager spilling my guts about how i kissed this boy.

  I remember sitting in front of three elders as a teenager spilling my guts about how I kissed this boy. I had like 4 or 5 meetings with these men telling them how, when and where we kissed. answering questions like "did he touch your breast?" and on and on. I was very depressed after that. I had to reveal all this private stuff about myself that really I should have only discussed with my parents. It's really sad....I know plenty of other young girls and older women too who have been humiliated in this way.

  1914 & “Generation” – What change?

  i have read through many posts on this website that refer to the fact wtbts changed their viewpoint on generation and its relevance to 1914. there was just an article out in the wt (last six months) that reiterated the fact this viewpoint did not change, and that the wtbts still expects the generation who were around in 1914 to physically see the conclusion of this system and the visible second coming of jesus here on earth.

  the wtbts did state they consider anyone being born in 1914 would be applicable, which is a change from earlier discussions, but they have not (from what i have seen) said that generation could pass away altogether.

  sincerely i ask: if anyone has that information i would love to see it.

  I remember at a circuit assembly a talk given about the whole generation thing and how it is possible that the generation of 1914 could pass away and that was the reason why some were put in position on the GB who were not apart of the 144,000 (correct me if I'm wrong). to take the lead in case they all died before the end. I think there is someone by the name Brown who is on the GB but not of the anoited class...(is that right?) it's kinda foggy...

  The phone number and address thing is nothing new...that is annouced at least twice a year. Then everyone gets in a tissy about how thats sooo important because well if the end comes then we can contact each other and blah blah blah....why do they have to annouce that...really that should be a given...having the phone number and addresses of it's members..duh

  hi, i am 19 and from ireland.

  i have been studying the bible with jws for more than a year, and enough is enough.

  i simply decided i don't want to be answerable to a human organisation like that who like to think they have the answers that they simply cannot have.

  Be honest and tell her you wish to stop studying...but if thats to hard for you, just start missing your study...miss meetings make up an excuse like you have to work, school etc...that sister won't keep a relationship with you anyway so it's better to just stop now, if your heart isnt in it, you are wasting your time anyway. I think you should tell her exactly how you feel and why...maybe it will help her too. You will feel better if you confront the situation head on.

  Maybe you are right...He swears it's my JW upbringing....and that pisses me off cause if i was to stick to what I was raised to believe he wouldnt even be apart of my life..he better be thankful that I'm a rebel.

  Oh I thought it was just me....we are constantly moving things around the house. I put the pillows one way and I come home and it's different.

  I'm like *amn go cut the grass, fix a motor or something! leave my pillows alone!

  I try to humble myself but i get tired of being humble....I want my way sometimes. If I'm ever in the position to be single again, I will never marry. we were apart for a few months and it was really nice...peaceful..I ate noodles everyday..when i put something down it was there exactly where i left it..

  Yes, I do believe he's wrong about all of this. what does he know about anything....he's worldly. I was taught the truth...he doesnt know anything about the bible...he thinks Jesus is God and God is God and the Holy Spirit is God.and somehow it's all the same..:oP

  seriously though has anyone had this problem as an ex-JW?

  i had no doubts at all about the 'truth' untill a friend of mine in the cong' began falling away.

  in trying to help him i had to ask questions and do research and that of course cracked the doors of my mind open for the first time in over thirty years.. years ago, when jwd allowed members to have signatures, i used the following quote from voltaire as mine.

  i still love it.. doubt is uncomfortable, certainty is ridiculous..

  the way I was df'd was so cold hearted. The elders never once mentioned Jesus or his sacrafice. If I have sinned and the purpose for Jesus dying was to cover my sins. Why did they leave that out. No one told me to pray, No one told me to ask for forgiveness, no one prayed with me or for me.

  I know that my lord and savior would never had treated me that way. I know that for a fact. I know that God was not in that room. they knew they were wrong because they asked me if I thought I was treated fairly. If you are directed by holy spirit. (Because this is my LIFE that they were dealing with) Why would they ask a question like that? I tried going to a different congregation but when i informed those elders that I had moved and I was going to the KH on a regular basis, they told me it didnt matter where I was going... the decision will always be theirs if I wanted to get reinstated. It's all about control

  what i will miss least.

  the last talk at any assembly or convention that seems to drag on forever although it's supposed to only be 1 hour long.

  What I miss the least:

  1. The long hours spent planning to study my watchtower but never really getting done.

  2. The long hours spent trying to figure out what to do with all the magazines piling up. afraid to throw them away telling myself i'll place them in FS someday.
