Welcome. Is it attention that you're seeking?
well saw him on the academy awards last night...ok, np.
today on the oprah show, chris rock was on there tooting bout how prince had an after oscar's party, with many there including himself.
and how prince did a few tunes.....hhmmm wonder how many from his cong were there, you know the reverant window washers and carpet cleaners.... no, just bad worldly associations.
He always struck me a a person with a lot of problems.
Barney Muldoon is kinda naughty.
in the light of thinking that i am a person of reason, having a measure of good sense, and not wanting to go against the flow of the main stream, i now look back and wonder "why did it take me 40 years to wake up and smell the roses" about the organization?
when the big fiasco, and i mean big fiasco, of 1975 came and went, didn't i know down deep that i had been chasing "parked cars" spiritually?
with my spiritual nose bleeding i just hung in there with the rest and didn't make a fuss.
Sure so did 1925! Please tell me that you never knew about the past failures? You ignored these past dates when it did not affect you personally right? You did not seem to get a hoot when preaching to others about taking in no blood even at the risk of one's child! So again, 1975 is a big deal? God's organization said so? You need to take some blame for your actions, it was you who joined the organization not the other way around.
FDS-How, at that time, did you think anyone was aware of what was hidden by the jws? No internet existed. Not even Crisis of Conscience existed. So how would you expect unsuspecting new converts being love bombed to be aware of any of that? Many were not even alive in 1925 during 1975.

Hey FDS, the 1975 thing was a HUGE deal. Peple put off having children. They sold their houses. They bought all kinds of junk & got in debt. Because the world was going to end in 1975. Sounds huge to me.
poor thing, she's had alzheimer's for about 10 years and the last year she's been on hospice care because she's been so close to death.
the past few months she's been slowly filling up with water -- they gave her lasix (not sure of the spelling) to relieve the edema and it worked, sort of.
last weekend she actually looked a little better.

i thought the starting bid was a nice touch !
Very clever, whoever you are
.
i here this a lot all the time.
i think it is one huge myth,,based on a self-biased view.
To me, Peaceful is making the most sense here. If society on the whole believe that there will be some kind of "unconditional love" out there, no matter what they do, what is left to control their behavior with reguard to laws? What stake in doing good would many have if they felt they didn't have to be governed in any way because they would receive "unconditional love" no matter what they did?
I think unconditional love is a myth promoted by some, if not most, Western religions. It is some vague, unattainable myth some people keep striving for. If you have love for yourself, all else will follow. JMHO.
