time to let our feathered friends get some notice here.. for those of you avian lovers/bird owners - what kind of bird do you own?.
i should re-word it, because they seem to 'own' us.. i have 3 birds: 1 female cockatiel (a rescued footless darling) called, nimh; 2 female budgies (1 rescued) named, baby and blue.
2 years ago you may remember i had a budgie named: busy.
Casper: I've had him for 3 years, and yeah he says quite a few things like "hello baby, what a cutie, pretty birdie, *wolf whistle*, *calling-the-dog-whistle*, step up", and he laughs and also makes a sound like water being poured.
Your Amazon looks nice from what I can see in that picture :P
kwin: lol. Sometimes I put by bird in a cooking pot and put the lid on and tell him I'm going to make "caique stew". He loves small dark places so he thinks it's hilarious.l

Count Raven is one of the doom bands on my "list to check out", I haven't heard them yet. I'll have to pick up Destruction of the Void and see how it is. Also need to check out Orodriun.

I have a Black Headed Caique... hate to sound like a "crazy bird guy", but, being currently trapped in the JW cult, I feel like he is my only real friend. I don't know what I would do if anything happened to him.

Which one had the crap singing, Solitude Aeturnus maybe? His vocals are very unique but are certainly far from "crap".
this morning i had a 40 min phone conversation with my ex husband because i spoke with my 15 year old son on wednesday about the inaccuracies of the jw belief system he has been raised with by his dad.
obviously ex husband is not happy about this.
the one thing he kept saying is that even if it is wrong it is not a bad way to live your life............what would you say to this?.
I think I need to compile a list of information and facts that disprove the jw religion and its
teachings, for any jw or any considering becoming one, to be able to check for themselves before
committing themselves any further to this religion

Yeah I don't consider death doom to be TRUE doom, it's more like "really slow death metal with violins".
Sabbath wouldn't be death doom at all, heh. They're very borderline between heavy/doom metal and really bluesy, dark psychadelic rock.
Oh, and yeah, I am a huge Candlemass fan, thanks for noticing.
we have all been conditioned by religion to believe that the bible is some sort of supreme authority.
of course, we all know that the watchtower society, after claiming that the bible is useful as this sort of authority, blatantly fails to follow it.. what would you expect some supreme authority to have?
its premises should be beneficial to all involved.

this is just a rant from me today, something that i have noticed all my life, but now as an adult bugs me more.
the org has become a quasi god, it has its own "approval" which was cemented in 1918 and as a jw you cant question it at any level, you can question individuals( casue they are imperfect) but the org is perfect, it is theocratic therefore ruled direct by jesus, any mistakes are our fault.
the "society" is beyond reproach in the eyes of so many.
They explicitly dedicate themselves to the "organization" in their baptismal oath. Enough said.
