I've been to a ton of concerts... seen the Killers, McCartney, Ringo, Skynyrd, Nugent, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Black Crowes, etc... I could go on and on... but the band who rocked the house the most live was the Presidents of the United States of America. I kid you not!

Group vacations that go wrong...
by MMXIV inever go on vacation/holiday with a group of jw's that went wrong?.
i went to sunny usa with 7 other jw's in their mid 20's, some of whom were married.
within a few days we went to a bar for the evening where one of the brothers was rudely threatened in front of his wife.

Correct. The other wife is a JW. LDS is very liberal with the bigamy here in Utah.

I had met my wife's friend and her husband at an assembly and they seemed fairly normal. Out of the two I would have bet money that my wife's friend would have been the wet blanket.
Not so.
They came with us on vacation and the husband complained non stop about everything. Just a complete asshole, with a capital A.
My wife and I both wanted to kill him.
Never again. N-E-V-E-R!

The 5% club
by John Doe init's a well established fact that 95% of people are either bs'ers or are incapable of distinguishing between bs and non bs.
are you a 5 percenter?.

Put me down for the 5% who believe that this "well-established fact" is actually B.S.

I was hoping this thread would be about the first conversation in history.
You know, "Put down that apple, honey... this could have long-term ramifications."

The new song book
by bobld ini know it's has been mentioned before but my 2$ worth.iam sure if they (j.w.
) had listen to the music and song without knowing who published the new song book.they would say "this song book is awful with no end of criticism.
"also over 90% would agree and would not bat and eye.. knowing that the wbts published this (garbage) song book over 90% agree what a great song book.talk of brainwashed people.i can't stand the music, it sounds like some kindergarden kid is taking piano lessons.did they not rehearse.it is awful the the dough heads won't admit it.i say they will do a re-issue,revision 2 next year.. bob.

I think the song book proves that there are no plans for mainstreaming in the near future. If they were, the songs would have a backbeat, a catchy melody, or memorable lyrics.
Instead, it is just the same old reheated mind-numbing garbage.

BTW, have you ever tried reading an ex-Scientologist message board? You will definitely need a translator!
