Dave Mustaine of Megadeth was raised as a JW.
by AGreenmachine inmegadeth is a heavy metal band fronted by dave mustaine, who was raised as a jehovah's witness.
mustaine was the original lead guitar player for metallica,in the early 80's, before they kicked him out for drunk behavior.
i have been a fan of megadeth for years, but recently found out he was raised as a jw.

it may not be the saddest but it's up there.
"my sister's keeper" was a real tearjerker too..

The scene of the old guy at the graveyard thinking back always makes me tear up in "Saving Private Ryan".

No "Old Yeller"? No "Where The Red Fern Grows"? No "Marley and Me"?
You people hate dogs, don't you?

Would you invite Jehovah to a party?
by JimmyPage ini think he would be a real buzzkill.
for example, if someone were fornicating upstairs, he'd probably want to annihilate them with fire.
or if someone were tapping the keg too much he'd want to take them to the back room and give them some strong counsel.

The more I think about it... Jesus is the better choice... he definitely knows how to have a good time...

I don't know if he seems that busy to me... always giving out fuzzy "new light"... making promises and never getting around to fulfilling them... he could probably use a good party...

Jesus might be a cooler hang, but the Holy Spirit would be hard to trust- the mysterious dude who doesn't say much and you can't quite figure out.

Atonement? I have that one on DVR but haven't watched it yet. Thought it might be a good chick flick for the wife.

Yes, it was depressing. Even the beautiful nudity could not overcome the ugliness of their souls.
