I think Rolling Stone was the world's largest magazine, but they've reduced their size to more modest dimensions.

Unforgivable Sin vs the Parable of the Prodigal Son
by sabastious inmatt 12: 31, 32: 31and so i tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven.
32anyone who speaks a word against the son of man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the holy spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.. ^ speaking against the holy spirit is unforgivable.. luke 15: 20-24: 20so he got up and went to his father.
"but while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.. 21"the son said to him, 'father, i have sinned against heaven and against you.

I think the unforgivable sin was when King Cepheus disrespected Zeus who thus allowed his brother Hades to attack the city of Argos, if I recall the Bible correctly.

in 2001Newsday listed the Tract Society as one of New York City's 40 richest corporations, with revenues exceeding $950 million. )
We're supposed to be repulsed by the excesses of Christendom, but impressed by the restored Stanley Theater. Justify that!

I agree with the Bible when it says not to cast your pearls before swine. Modern translation: don't go on O'Reilly's show!

Demons and the WTS
by brotherdan ini remember growing up and hearing all sorts of stories about demonic activity from people.
some would be experiences that people had going door to door and visiting a "witch" or "warlock".
some would inadvertently go to a fortune tellers door and have a demonic experience.. i was always facinated by all the stories.

Never had any experiences myself. My JW wife claims she has, but never wants to talk about it cuz it scares her too much.

I dont want to inadvertantly be worshipping another god while celebrating certain Holidays either. Any advice?
Now that your Watchtower blinders are off, try reading the Bible again. If you're like me you'll realize that there are a lot of tall tales in that book.

how many in your cong had nervous breakdowns?
by highdose inof the congregation i spent my life in i would say a good 75% had nervous breakdowns at some point.
and often there was never really a obivous reason for it.
well not that we jw's could understand at the time.. even the queen bee's/ elderettes were not immune to this.. what about you?.

A very good friend of mine went missing. When they found him he was very disoriented. I don't know what caused the breakdown, but I suspect his congregation responsibilities contributed greatly. Poor guy is still trapped in the cult all these years later.

Welcome! I'm so glad that you have been able to reconcile with the mother of your child. I hope you and your family find much happiness outside of the cult.
