  i've been watching the new dvd and it is a bull fest about russell.

  i haven't even gotten half way and they already excluded one very important bit of information.

  you'll recall that russell "lost" his faith and "turning away from church creeds and searching for truth, russell examined some leading oriental religions, only to find these unsatisfying".

  i'm so disappointed in denzel for bringing that damned book back into the world.

  i remember we were studying that book the same time they were teaching the theory of evolution in my biology class.

  i need to get that book just to bring back memories.

  i think it could be proven pretty easily that the wt has lied to its members for decades.

  what if a number of former jws banded together to prove the wt's policies cost them large sums of money over the years (due to the discouragement of education and the idea that one shouldn't invest in a world that's going to end soon)?.

  if we were rewarded with money, that's icing on the cake.

  I think it could be proven pretty easily that the WT has lied to its members for decades.

  What if a number of former JWs banded together to prove the WT's policies cost them large sums of money over the years (due to the discouragement of education and the idea that one shouldn't invest in a world that's going to end soon)?

  If we were rewarded with money, that's icing on the cake. Personally the real purpose of such a lawsuit to me would be to cripple the Borg.

  How viable is such an idea? And if not, what might be a realistic alternative plan?

  a koan is a puzzling or illogical question, statement, or story to help the zen student transcend logic, intellect, and notions of duality.. koans seem silly or absurd precisely because they are undermining preconceived notions.

  to take the absurd seriously is to foil logic.. knowing the intellectual answer to a koan, or someone else's answer, is not knowing the answer to a koan.

  each individual must perceive the answer on an internal and intuitive level.. traditionally, a zen teacher assigns an appropriate koan to a student who periodically meets in private with the teacher to offer answers.
