i have been making jewelry for as long as i can remember.
for a few years i earned a living making jewelry and traveling to art shows to sell it, i even had one of those liitle carts in the mall when i was 17...ran it by myself.
i stopped making stuff for a while but i have recently restarted my business and it is taking off!
Ha...I do see a resemblence there devinsmom! Hopefully devin will also grow up and have my sparkling and wonderful personality!
Richie...yes...I am related to everyone on this board. Don't yah know they're all my "brothers & sisters"???? (snicker, snicker)!
Actually...I am only related to devinsmom (my brother's daughter) and whyamihere (my daughter-in-law). If I am related to anyone else, please let me know and please mention me in your will.
i've been having several outbreaks of conspiracy theories lately and a wierd one that came to mind was if anyone has ever met minimus in person before?
think about it....what better way is there to gather intel on a rather large group of ex and current jw's than to ask detailed questions on every facet of your life?
typically, someone that has over a few thousand posts has been to a meetup of some sort, even a small one.
I doth think that Sir Minimus is quite enjoying this thread. All Hail Sir Minimus!!

dear friends and fellow forum members...it has come to the point in my planning of the 1st annual apostacheesefest at my home; that i really haven't the faintest idea of how to run this thing.
i am actually quite "socially retarded" and have not had a large gathering at my home since...hmmmmm...since i don't know when!
so i beseech anyone out there who has attended or put on an apostafest...what are some good ideas to make it easy for me and yet fun for everyone.
You guys are all such a hoot. I'm already starting to DE-stress with all the good advice and humor.
Thanks everyone. I think no matter what...it's gonna be great!
Big BIG hug to all...cathy l.

Thanks for the encouragment Hubert. I guess I am probably overreacting anyway...BUT...my husband and I did actually discuss having a few items done by either a caterer or one of our local grocery stores, which has a really good deli.
I guess the most important thing isn't the food, but meeting all my friends from the forum (who can make it) and establishing, hopefully, some long-lasting friendships. (Unlike those JW friendships which are unlikely to last in the long term scheme of things).
I shall absolutely take your advice under consideration Hubert. Good luck with YOUR apostafest. Hope it all turns out well! You'll have to post all your pics and stuff on the forum!
Hug...cathy l.
p.s. MR. RAT...you ARE a photoshop god...I'm jealous.

Okay rat...that's idea #1. But you gotta go first.

unbeliever...that is kind of what we thought of doing in the first place. I hate to see my husband spending all his time at the grill. BUT...maybe that is what we'll go ahead and do...DANG...that is what I had planned in the first place.
We do have two tents we bought at Sears for half price...so that is one worry taken care of. (Of course...Blondie's weather forecaster, Irreverent...has promised no rain that day)!

Idea # 3: Will have to discuss this with buttlight...seeing that is the zebra rear end most likely to be available.
