  as i was cruising the internet one fine day...i happened upon a local radio station website which contained pictures from a local charity event.

  low and behold...to my utter amazement...many of the pictures were of people i knew in my past life as a jw...people who still are active jw's and were always considered among the "spiritual" and "good" jw's.

  so my fine friends...i took two pictures and would like you to tell me who you would say were the jw's and who were the "worldlings"???

  I shall not reveal the true witnesses until an unspecified time or until the end of the gentile times and the millions now posting on this website have not died or until this generation passes gas.

  We would probably be greeted by one Sister Warm & Fuzzy & Insincere and then the PO would call an emergency meeting of the local elder body and they would cower in the back room until it was safe to come out...when the meeting was over and their spies had reported back to them that we were safely off the premises.

  Have you been able to make up for the lost years?

  i feel that my education was stunted due to the jw belief that education is not important.

  as a result i have not been able to follow my dreams, or follow the career i?m sure i was put on this earth to do.

  does anyone else feel this way?

  I often think about going back to school for something...my kid's encourage me to go back. But even if I don't pursue any type of education (graduated high school; married at 18...was in JW's for over 40 years...arghhhhhhhhhhhh!!), I sure am starting to ENJOY life...going out at night to hear music or just a leisurely drive on a Sunday morning...getting into serious gardening...yup...I think I'm starting to make up for some of those years...but I'll never get my youth back...and when you get into your 50's (well...next year anyway)...and the old body starts misbehaving...I know I'll never have the energy or health I would need to do many things I would have wanted to.!

  You know...it was so long ago that I quit taking it and reading some of these posts I do remember that I had a problem with sleep walking...mainly into the kitchen and forages into the refrigerator. Woke up one morning with slices of bread in my bed (and hubby and I weren't even having kinky sex...oops...can I say that here?? Yup...bread is a real turn on!) Cathy L.

  Elder Kid Behaviour An Issue? 22/10/2003 Awake!

  in the young people ask section, the question is posed: "how can i come out from under my parents' shadow" then you get two quotes from supposed elders' kids, identified only by their first names.

  one says he is only known as his elder father's son, whereas the other one feels pressure to live up to high standards being an elder's son.
