i am in a situation that many of you have faced... whether to stay with my spouse or not after having learned the falsehood of the org.. my wife is diehard witness who gets upset whenever i talk about the org negatively.

she is not happy that i am on jwd... in fact the other day she picked up the keyboard and wanted to throw it accros the room or bash me with it when she saw i was on jwd... she is also very upset about me making friends with "apostates" and worldly people, and told me never to bring them to our home!

this concerns me, since i am not going to have any friends in the org, and i need at least a few friendships...she doesn't want me to talk to the friends in the cong about my decision so that i don't share my doubts.

Thanks! daniel-p...For now everything seems quiet on the Russian front. Like I said in my earlier thread that she mentioned she "would" turn me in to the elders for my new found views but she may not due to retribution it will have on both of us. So time is the main factor here.

I'll just have to wait and see what he future holds but I do have my fingers crossed!

Hey A & G, Quirky1 here! Nice to know you read my thread!

This is kind of an update of my situation and maybe you can bounce off of it in your scenario. Too much like Deja Vu isn't it?

Me and the wife had a long heated discussion and some emphasis on my part that I "Was" not returning to that kind of life or would I step foot in the KH again and if she was unable to live with that then we had better get a divorce. She chose the latter but said she would not file for it but would sign it. After a day or two of thinking she came back and said she would like to try to work thru it.

Well, like you my wife just recently found me on JWD and went a little bezerk, like yours, except I don't think she wanted to hit me with the keyboard. She mentioned that this was an apostate site.I stuck to my guns and remained on because I was in the middle of Werewolf XXII. She left me alone and hasn't questioned it since but I think for some strange reason it was more of a jealous reaction. Internet affairs and sex and such...Go figure.

So far we have been very understanding of each others wishes and life goes on. It is hard to throw away 24 years together. She goes to the KH, meetings & field circus. I have been trying to do my own thing too. I have been reconnecting with family and hunting while she is gone. I am looking into doing some reading and some other things I have wanted to do for a long time but time did not allow being a JW.

I cannot say what your future or mine holds but I don't want to give up on my best freind. We have been thru a lot together and I just realized this recently. Just maybe she'll wake up one of these days and that is all I can hope for.

praying before a meal

i have stopped.

it brings up too many memorys of having some elder pray for the cong before we partook of any food.

it just seemd like a big production, all would gather around and bow heads in silence while some senior male gave thanks- no more- no thanks

I haven't done this in quite some time. But, however, If my spouses parent's, die hard JW's, are over and he wants to pray I let him but I'm not included. I go ahead and eat and watch TV.

Superman, I have heard talks given by elders that have mentioned internet e-mail and chat as well as text messaging labeled as "dating" amd is considered serious among JW's. In your case I wopuld just play stupid and if get's serious I would turn it around on her and make her out the bad girl, won't leave you alone person.

Or.....

Play it out and have some fun with it and see where it goes.........
