A favorite for all the heads is Count Chocula. Excellent for the munchies.

hi.. just wondering what made you take the final leap out of the org?
was it doctrinal in that certain things just didnt add up or was it because of the actions of people in the org.
that made you leave?
1. Doctrine
2. Lies and misleading information
3. The people behind the curtain - "Crisis of Conscience"
Pretty much in that order. Once I began seeing holes in the doctrine I began questioning the organization then read "CofC" and I was outta there.

weird.
after the letter was read, many clapped.
i don't know how to interpret that.. .
Whomever started the clap was a cool dude in book!

suppose you had a business that didn't make money.
you would try to make the thing more efficient and probably lay off.
some workers to cut costs.

they are full of sh*t!
if i were a practicing jehovah's witness, i'd seriously take the governing body's words to heart immediately.
since they don't want to add any further burdens on us, i would not "wait on jehovah (them)" but instead i'd follow the spirit of their timely words and cut out one more meeting night and save gas money!
I'm with you Minimus! I think it is also a bunch of horse puckey. They used the gas as an excuse to deter others thinking of what the main reason for the consolidation really is.
I do not know exactly what their reasoning is for sure but I remember reading another post on this forum about a more mind controlled method. People in the at home BS's had the abilty to be more candid and open minded in their thoughts. Eliminating that option will give them an even tighter reign over the congregation.
The "One Less Night " schedule may also entice those that are sporadic in their meeting attendance to be more active. It will also be more appealing to new ones.
Just a thought.

hi.. ive recently been reading some really interesting stuff about the turin shroud, how it could be authentic after all, and the evidence that points to its authenticity.
of course, this gives me reason for thinking that "what if the gospels are true after all?
has anyone else here looked at the subject of the turin shroud??.
Religion and spirituality no longer exists within me.
I just enjoy nature and the scientific aspect of it.
Family, freinds are all that is essential.

if you are a jw and you want to live a real life you have a choice of 3 ways to get out of there.. 1. to get disfellowshiped.. 2. to disassosiate yourself.
(write the letter).
personally i se no reason to do anything but fade out, it's their rules not mine.
Currently I am trying to fade. But, due to the circumstances I beleive I will Df'd. My wife has vowed to rat me out if I celebrate the holidays with my UBF.
I do beleive fading would be the best decision.

the watchtower meeting (this congregation meets on sat) that i just listened to via phone conference was cut 10 minutes short to have a letter read to all the congregation.
here are the highlights:.
- the governing body realizes that the pressures of this system of things are getting heavier on his people.. - just like the governing body of the 1st century, we do not want to add additional burden to you either.
Did you see the clincher?
But there is a benefit of even greater significance. It will offer more time for the important responsibility of Bible study on a personal and family level.
This is where they make appeal as a directive from the FDLS' link to Jehoover.
