i am a huge fan of aldo nova and doucette being a couple.
there are many other bigger bands or individuals i could list but don't want to ruin the fun.

much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.
Well Journal, the latest...I went to the doctor and had some tests for some problems mentioned in my earlier post. I have to go have some further testing and some blood work.
They found something wrong with the gall bladder - no big deal - take it out. But, they found a cyst on my liver???? Dunno what's there but it has me worried.
Forgot to take my allergy medicine this AM so now I'm dying.

i have been fading for years now.
i give less and less a shit about what the jw's want or say or do.
i love my family and since my wife is still in although also inactive her rabid family is making the fade tough since i love and respect her dad.
Toth - Even tho you did open a can of worms they don't have a leg to stand on. I wouldn't really worry about. If you heard it prior to the announcement that is not your fault, that lies in the hands of the PO that leaked the information.
Remember, it takes two witnesses. Just law low and ignore the a$$holes.

for some of you, seems like you have your routines, family, jobs, etc....and you can plan you day and enjoy it.. for others of us, everyday is a struggle to make a good day happen.

this morning in seeing another poster going through this particular dilemma , i thought it would be good to open it up to open discussion to see what various situations occur in our lives that make us come to the decision to fade / or disassociate ?
everybody has different circumstances in their lives - so one size certainly doesn't fit all .
everybody has there pressure points in life they can deal with - some cannot.
Flipman, I'm kind of like Oompa & OTWO. I would love to walk in during a meeting grab the mic and say, "You are all in a cult". I thought about DA and discussed it with my wife. She thought I had already sent a letter. She did not want me to do this an mentioned that if I no longer beleive just to let it go.
Two of the elders know about the apostae literature I've read and have and yet they have not done anything. One of the elders even went to lunch with me "with" my request of nothing spiritually speaking. We went to lunch and neither of us prayed over the meal. We ate lunch as freinds.
So, I've chosen to fade if my spouse will allow it. I know I've posted on other threads that she has vowed to "rat me out" if do anything against the beliefs of the JW/WTBTS. But, I don't know if she will follow thru. She knows both of our children have done DF offenses but yet she will not report them. And I'm no angel either. I've done some DF offenses, that I will not mention, she already knows about and has yet to turn me in.
I am just taking it one day at a time.

after six years of hiding from them.. the same elder and wife have found me.
they have taken to writing to me, sending me stuff in the mail.
Either a "Return to Sender" stamp or invite them over for an Apostafest. But it may be better just to not respond. Maybe they will get the hint.
