  JW's from "The World" have a easier time going "Back Out Into The World"?

  we all know how hard it is, usually, for those rasied in the truth to readjust "outside in the world" once they leave ... so not to undermine them (esp.

  for those who came in later in life - regardless of how many times from the podium you were instructed not to "leave the love you had at first" many of you are here because you found out the "truth about the truth" whether it was the people or doctrine or combination ... and were willing to open your mind, realize the "truth about the truth" and leave.

  not to undermine all those years and mind numbing propaganda you endured in the jw's, but i have always felt: .

  Ranaia - I thought the very same thing as you are right now. I was a parent who was indoctrinated ito this cult in my mid 30's and thought homeschooling my children and bringing them up as witnesses was the safe thing to do. I was wrong and now feel guilty for not allowing them to share the memories of school, holidays, birthdays, etc.. My children are adults now. I will tell you that the teens in the halls are a tight knit bunch and keep everything very secret. If you think you are going to protect them from drugs, alchohol, stds, etc.. you are gravely mistaken. Since my children are now young adults they have shared with me the things they done with the other witness children and it is no pretty. They have engaged in immoral sex, even with witnesses from other congregations. They have drank, smoked and experimented with drugs. So, how is being a witness going to protect them?

  Now, back to the topic question: Yes, I do feel that coming from the world makes it easier to go back to the world. Even though I have had some lonely moments at times it has gotten much better of the last month or so. I just reconnected with freinds and family and spend a lot of time here on JWD.

  If the G.B. and WTS don't have good motives, what is the point.....

  and wts don't have good motives, what is the point of the whole religion?

  i mean, it doesn't appear that anybody is getting rich or am i missing something.

  Oracle -

  the intelligent and socially normally population of the JW ranks are all coming out - slowly but surely...the great Exodus is well on its way.

  I find this to be the amusing part and the most interesting. Even tho I still consider myself a newbie to JWD I have seen a growth of newbies forming on this site everyday.

  ever since day one of our jw experience, we have all been prayed to by the bro on-stage at least twice per meeting.

  have any of you ever really listened to what they are asking from god?

  at the start of my association the prayers were pretty generic, but now *every* one asks that god only provide for other witnesses.

  i posted this on another thread, but since it is slow, i thought i would make even another bs thread.. wasanelderonce: let us all rejoice at the new arrangement of three meetings in one night.. just found out from my unfortunately ever improving bethel connections that this has already been implented for awhile in many congreations tied to bethel.

  to consolidate travel costs these poor unfortunates are having their bs after the wt study or service meeting!

  while it is supposed to be full length, i would bet my bottom dollar that they are finding ways to already magically shorten the wt and climax.....well maybe they would not want to shorten the climax!..................oompa
