Where do atheists' morals come from?
by dorayakii inmany theists believe that atheists have no morality at all.
they argue that because atheists dont believe in the laws, limitations and boundaries that god has set up for us, there's nothing stopping them from becoming violent, lying thieving sociopaths.
there have been many stories of people who have "found god" and changed their life, giving up drugs, repenting for past crimes.

I drink a few beers every nite. It is in my blood. Even tho I sometimes do not want to drink I still do. I do not drink as much as I did when I was a JW but I still do. I have been drinking more water every nite. I do not rely on the heavier stuff like I used to. I used to always have margaritas every nite but have since cut them back to a once in a wek or two.

What's the BEST thing about being "out" of the "truth"?
by B_Deserter infor me, it's having friends that i don't have to hide my lack of meeting attendance/service from.
it's amazing how they teach you that only jws can be your real friends, but in reality, it's all contingent upon your religious "performance.
" sure, if you're not going to meetings, they'll try to be "friends," by encouraging you to go back.

Black Magic and Jehovah
by sinis inok, i bought a book on black magic, and it is very intense to say the least.
what i have found interesting, and perhaps some could shed some light, is on the subject of evocation and the use of jehovah and his angels.
now why does this form of black magic evoke known angels, not demons, and why does it use jehovah to bind them?

I think it is time for you to take a stand. Do not cower to their methods or their beliefs if you do not find it true. You have to be true to yourself and true to your own heart. As for the children they are also better off without the WTS.
Whatever you decide I hope it is the right decision.

What's Your MAIN Reason For Not Believing In "The Truth"?
by minimus inmy mother had this discussion yesterday.
basically, my main argument was that if the fds gets jehovah's holy spirit and their "food" is "the truth", yet they always are correcting themselves, how can anyone in all fairness believe it's "the truth"??
you can't show scripturally why organ transplants are a form of cannibalism and clearly a disfellowshipping offense and a couple of years later after possible disfellowshippings or death, and then believe jehovah god changed his view suddenly.

Mind control was a huge issue with me and was probably the main reason for my leaving. I was an MS that constantly had something to do therefore this was a blessing in disguise. It enabled me to actually sit back an pay attention to behaviorial patterns, actions, responses, etc. of the R&F. I realized these people were living a dream. With my mind not being occupied with the WTS and the need to seek further information about the group enabled me to escape their control.
If only others could see thru the smoke and mirrors.

Welcome inthepink3355
by Honesty inwelcome to the board, sister.. it is so good to have you here.
i look forward to hearing your experiences during the 1940's and 50's.. .
i 'officially' left the jw's in december 2004 and 3 weeks later jesus found me.. it was a life changing spiritual experience that i'll always remember.. funny thing is, when i said "yes" to jesus my entire family (jw and non-jw) turned their backs on me because they believe christians are evil.. .
