  Avoid Spiritism? Is it the work of demons?

  the bible tells us to 'avoid spiritism'.

  even if we believe in life after death, can our loved ones contact us or are satan and his demons deceiving us?.

  i know that there are so many frauds out there and i am far from gullible, i know to look for generalised statements and 'cold reading'........however....... i really think i have seen the work of a genuine medium!.

  does anyone remember when the witlesses said that we weren't to use anything with the proctor and gamble symbol (r) because they were demonized or satan worshipers?

  can you think of any others...of course the smurfs, e.t.....anymore?.

  What about the issue they had with aluminum. I can't remember for sure but I think they said it caused cancer if you cooked, ate or drank from it.

  I doubt the majority will ever see thru the smoke and mirrors of the mind controlled driven cult. Some will stay even if they do because of the socialism or the fear of losing freinds and family.

  7th Anniversary on JWD

  i just realized that 5-28 was my 7th anniversary on jwd.

  my participation has changed over time and most of what i do is the review each week.

  people have come and gone, lots of new names, and some old-timers like me.

  I had a Jehovah's Witness at my door this morning

  i had a jehovah's witness knocking on my door on 31/05/08 it was very happy female, i could of have shouted at her but i was very close going that way as my legs were shaking a little bit like jelly as i was talking to the jehovah's witness finding polite way of shooing her away.

  i have used the word cult to them but they denied it.

  i said about emma gough but they said its because she wasn't looked after.

  Living your lifes dream....Have you? Are you? Will you?......

  i subscribed to cruising world magazine for over 20 years.

  many people or couples wrote their stories about either their life aboard a sailing yacht, or their time they put mainland life on hold for a year or more and lived their dream of cruising on an sailing yacht.

  this became my dream, and i have sailed extensively since age 13. i also loved photography, and that goes real well with sailing exploration, and life aboard among the islands.. my first jw wife liked that dream too, my second jw wife does not!

  My dream is to live near the Carolina coast have a bike and cruise the roads.

  I don't live near the coast but I have had a bike but sold earlier this year. Thinking about acquiring a new one shortly.

  As for living near the coast the wifey said she would move if I could sell our house.

  Do you want to buy a house? You would be helping one achieve a life's dream!

  Hmmmm, let's see....suits three to four times a week.

  Breifcases.

  Field circus in a car full a$$holes. Some smelled, some just wanted to eat, some talked too much.

  Boring conventions.

  Stupid meetings and listening to stupid answers during the BS or WT.

  Singing sooooo stupid songs.

  Listening to people constantly whine.

  Observador - I agree with the less confrontational approach also. At first I wasn't but I've found with my wife being less confrntational works better with her.

  Farkel - I'm an a$$ole too. Just waiting for the moment when I see other witlesses. But, I think they are avoiding me.

  Good luck to anybody that can help others out of this mind controlled religion.

  Tattoos are they for you?

  i was standing in line at the grocery store today and looked next to me, there was a woman about 60, its been 23 degrees celsius here so.

  the capri's are out.

  anyways you notice the legs and she has about a 5in by 4in tattoo on the side of her leg.

  They are not for me personally but they look cute or macho while you have the body for it but when you don't they look terrible. You also have to re-ink them every few years.

  My children have them but I know they will regret them one of these days.
