  WTS vs The Smurfs? 2011

  with the release of the 3d movie the smurfs, will the wt once again bash the little blue people as agents of satan?

  we see the focus on twilight bashing, so is this even a relevant call for the society to make?

  or will they rely on their past attack of papa smurf and the gang?.

  when jehovah's witness pick up the latest copy of the watchtower magazine and carry it to the households in their local neighborhood to place for contribution, this is viewed by them as witnessing in the time of the end.. jw's are told and taught they are doing an informative and life-saving work which has been consistent since the beginning of their religious movement.

  further, they are led to believe absolutely that they alone have the sole truth about the second coming of jesus christ.. alone among other christian religious organizations, jehovah's witnesses point to the date 1914 as the date certain when an invisible christ jesus set up his heavenly government.. these views are taught to be accurate bible knowledge from the mouthpiece of jehovah: the "faithful and discreet" slave or elite body of christ on earth residing in brooklyn, ny.. however, an examination of the history of end times speculations and movements in america reveals something else.

  from the perspective of your local kh heirachy, what role does the wtbs play in your real life?

  i come to this site as the spouse is a witness, curious to find the answers as to why bible-based babble from the wt can be taken as the truth.

  but then i look at the jws my spouse likes and know in my heart that they arent bad people - in fact save one, most i actually like too.

  From the perspective of your local kh heirachy, what role does the wtbs play in your real life? I come to this site as the spouse is a witness, curious to find the answers as to why bible-based babble from the wt can be taken as the truth. But then I look at the jws my spouse likes and know in my heart that they aren’t bad people - in fact save one, most I actually like too. I was taken aback by a recent post that basically said that “most of those who are jws chose to be for reasons other than the wtbs’ history”. Think that might be true?

  My rift with the wtbs didn’t occur until 2 years ago(my spouse, a jw for 15yrs-married 18), before that I didn’t attend meetings, but strangely was invited to intimate gatherings with no real sign of “love-bombing” like I’ve read about on other posts. We had a fight over jealousy/fidelity and I construed it to be impossible for a jw to behave that way, thus I wound up here, proceeded to arm myself with CC and all the anti-jw ammo needed to get my wife out. Yeah we did counseling too, and though we aren’t as strong as we’d like, we’re managing our marital union. But my wife remains in, hardly ever missing a meeting, but not always as a slave to wtbs – she relaxes on the things that will never be known to the local kh, so no harm no foul.

  I guess she’s a little more progressive than what I’ve read about here. She’ll curse now and then, keeps up w/ celeb gossip more than me, doesn’t fight with the school about holiday parties anymore(we got a 7 yr old) and has become extremely more outgoing, which is a good thing. So I guess the question is, how does the wtbs, which most of your spouse’s joined as jws for reasons not related to the wtbs, affect the “society” you personally live in?

  heard a public talk today, mentioning that jw's don't have security....the question is in the midst of a world gone mad, with so may df'd & possibly unstable jws out there, is it true that the wtbs essentially has no earthly agency within the company to protect them?.

  JW Baptism speel

  i was baptized in 1965 at age 6 after coming before my congregation, professing my love of god and acknowledging christ sacrifice.

  i was baptized "in the name of the father,son & holy ghost", and 44 years later, i have never forgotten that blessed event.. my wife, however studied for years, answered the baptism candidate questions, hit the baptism pool at an assembly and can't remember hers.. where can i find the statements used by jw's at baptism?

  i know there was one used before a certain date, and the one used today.

  I never dreamed you'd send me such a gem...I just emailed my wife the previous post that she must recognize as the truth, but I'll hold this for the discussion that follows. Any other WTCD info you can give me would be welcomed! This is theocratic warfare at it's best! Most jw's are willing to battle as long as they can cheat with the rags, this time the rags can tear down the walls of the WT itself!
