Thanx Yknot....Is it just me or can the 1985 version be construed as a verbal contract with the WTBS? Should it not be plain to see that they are placing themselves as God's equal?

i was baptized "in the name of the father,son & holy ghost", and 44 years later, i have never forgotten that blessed event.. my wife, however studied for years, answered the baptism candidate questions, hit the baptism pool at an assembly and can't remember hers.. where can i find the statements used by jw's at baptism?
i know there was one used before a certain date, and the one used today.

the good news is that my wife now respects the fact that i won't read anything printed by the filthy slave, but the fight's still not fair.
can anyone give me more scriptures of the bible to use?

...A Doggie Day in Hell...
by OUTLAW inever have one of those days..when you go outside,and part of your dogs throat has been ripped out?...
that was the begining of my day... i have no idea what attacked him..whatever it was,was f*cking vicious!
!..there was a 2 inch hole of missing fur and skin on his neck.....and a severed artery......also a 2 inch hole of missing fur and skin on his leg.....and..another severed artery.....there was blood everywhere... the nearest vet is 1 1/2 hours away..i phoned in and told the doctor to be ready for me... i tied the dogs wounds up with tee-shirts to try to minimilize the bleeding..then put a 100 lb bleeding dog,in the back of the truck..........poor dog tried to stand up in the truck..his neck started to gush with blood..i got him to lie down..the bleeding slowed.....i jumped in the truck and drove..that was one long hour and a half... the doctor came out..looked at the dog,ran back in and brought out a stretcher..it took three of us to bring him in so he would`nt move around..that dog has spunk!..lol!!.

Last time a checked a Bible(even the NWT), it said "no one knows the day or hour" so is that some new lite? I wanna see if the wife heard a similar talk during her DC this past weekend.

Been almost 8 months since posting...peeked a little -- but I was becoming consumed by the big "W". My wife's the JW, but I hold the hatetred! I had to back away...Since then I've managed to remove old publications(she stores them now), I'm an opposer now, so I've not really had any elder contact, she's still doing BS & FS, but not much talk. So we're 7 days out from the DC & I'm getting agitated because of a January layoff! Part of me says, "Great, there goes $$ to the WTBS & we are under-employed!" (but okay). I think I just wanna ask the married folk -
"Are we who 'know better' than to trust the WT so far ahead of our jw partners that we're also causing the failure of our relationship?"
Is there such a thing as TMI? I know she simply pulled back emotionally and believes the "earthly husband" conspiracy crap is full blast in her congo, but damn! I know the woman is smart, so when will hit her?
Just wanted to vent...Shouts out to Awakened, Sarah Smiles, Billy, Mary and all...

The Elder's wife didn't get the memo...
by kzjw inso i drive to the kh @ 10:30 to pick up the kids (i allow them to attend the pubic talk, but not be poisoned by the koolaid wt study).
as i'm in the parking lot, i see elderx, with whom i've had spirited wt debates heading to his car - he doesn't speak as he now knows i fully oppose the wt.
well from the car his wife sees me, and in her excitement gets out to come over to say hello.

Why yes it was...Imeant to say Pubic Squawk... Really it just seems to be another case of the make up of African-American congos...some are more lenient than what we find on the post of what I'd call really zealous KH's.
I mean this elder's family has 2 boys not really into the jw thing but attend because the live under his roof -- A daughter who has 2 kids out of wed and a 3rd on the way - and a wife who suffers from depression, but won't acknowledge where it might come from...But he's trying to guide my wife spiritually? Damn -- just "damn"...
