I'm 34, wings. By show biz industry standards, that's too old. But I was asked to have a small part in our school's play and I just sang a song at our school's annual Broadway Cabaret. So I have an outlet for my love of stage. :D

Blondie, I myself knew of exactly two single sisters who were former missionaries. TWO out of all the witnesses I've known in my life. So now Gilead is training to set up congregations? I guess people don't need to get the word out about Armageddon and eternal destruction anymore. It's more important that we learn how to properly micromanage the lives of others. :roll eyes"

I still want to be onstage either as an actress or a singer. I've wanted to since I was a kid. Ooh, but then the two of you might be mean to me in your movie critic reviews. Never mind! *sticks head in sand*

Gilead--no single women (rare exception) because it is designed to train male WTS administrators.
When I was young, I wanted to be a missionary. I think the idea of living in another country, learning another language, and experiencing another culture really appealed to me. But I was told that the Society no longer allowed single sisters to go to other countries for safety reasons.
Given the fact that I was young and had not yet formulated my own opinions, I bought that lock, stock, and barrel. Now as an adult, away from the sexist, repressive regulations of the borg, I've lived in another country, learned another language, and experienced another culture. And I've done it all while being single. Hooray for me!

My 20s were my best years. Within that decade, I got my first apartment, my first REAL job, attended college, learned to speak another language, started doing some serious traveling, and I lived in another country as an exchange student.

Probably some symian virus.
An overdose of Soylent Green would be more likely.
Thank god I just watched Ten Commandments when it was on a few weeks ago. Well, until all the over-acting got to be too much for me.

It's so weird that you made a thread on Evita. I was listening to my soundtrack the night before last. Freaky! :D And now I've decided to listen to it again.

I had stopped responding to "clap cues" ages ago. It made me feel like one of Pavlov's dogs every time at an assembly or convention when a brother's voice would begin to get louder and always start out with "and don't we, brothers..." or "aren't we grateful, brothers..." No thanks, I can think for myself! Instead of clapping, I'll just smile and nod politely, how's that?

Oh my gosh, I LOVE that film! I wish they'd put it on Broadway again. I was hopeful after it had a run on the West End stage in London, but nothing yet. Maybe they're secretly casting for the Broadway run? *hopes*
