  one them has to be a lie.. if they can tell which statement is the lie, you flunk.. .

  Gainseville paper article on convention and my response...

  gainseville paper had an article on the convention (district) down there this weekend and comments from jw's on how it helps cope.

  i left a comment response directed at how the shunning nature of the religion certainly doesn't help anyone leaving the denomination cope.

  i've seen the topic where they try to explain invisible growth, but something else about this wt magazine stands out.

  if this isn't adulterating the word of god, i don't know what is.

  the wts has done it again and managed to usurp jesus' position and interject themselves into his place.

  Alone of the Gospels, Mark’s account follows up this parable of the "sower" with an illustration involving a different "sower." Just before giving this illustration, Jesus told his disciples in private: "Pay attention to what you are hearing." Then he tied in the parable, saying:

  "In this way the kingdom of God is just as when a man casts the seed upon the ground, and he sleeps at night and rises up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows tall, just how he does not know." (Mark 4:24-27)

  Obviously, this "man" is not the glorified Lord Jesus Christ, for the latter no longer needs an earthly night’s sleep. Nor would it be correct to say that the Son of God, who worked with his Father in creating all things, "does not know" how growth takes place. (Colossians 1:16) So in the context we can appreciate that the "man" has reference to the individual Christian who should be ‘paying attention’ to matters related to "the kingdom of God."

  Each "sower" should watch with what personality traits he is sowing, and also the environment in which he sows. Without our being aware of it, the development of our personality may be influenced for good or for bad, according to the "ground" or kind of people among whom we associate as we seek to develop Christian qualities—be that inside or outside the congregation. (Compare 1 Corinthians 15:33.) Finally, "the full grain" will appear in the head, and we will harvest accordingly. (Mark 4:28, 29) How important that those of the "little flock," and indeed all who reach out for everlasting life in God’s Kingdom arrangement, watch what and where they sow with regard to the developing of Christlike personalities!—Ephesians 4:17-24; Galatians 6:7-9.

  I will guarantee this person never read any of the books

  How true! In fact, it doesn't look like this girl has done very much reading at all.

  I clicked through her "reviews" and out of 59 posted, I think there were only 2 books. One was about "Healthy Herbs", and another was about "Quick weight loss"...

  It's funny how most JW 's think they are experts on subjects when in reality they are completely ignorant.

  ok my gay friends, i'm going to pick on you a minute, but you know i love you all... .

  me... liberal male, could care less what you do with your sex organs, i only care about what i do with mine...that said, i've several gay friends... none of which are monogamous.

  so, my next door neighbors are lesbians, neither are the hate all males types like some i have known in the past... matter of fact, one loves sports and hangs out here watching football and other sports with me at least once a week.

  i get the feeling that internet dating is more about quantity than quality, but i think that's what i need right now.

  This trip to the Beach

  i went to the beach today, it was cloudy and looked like one hell of a storm was coming toward us.

  somehow it missed us, but the cloud and lightening display was awesome.

  i fed the gulls part of the bread from my sandwich teasing them to come closer and closer.

  I was just reading a post where they were discussing how that some "brothers" were getting confused after talking to some "evil apostates" on a Beliefnet forum...
