  New Heavens and New Earth

  i've been taught as a j.w.

  that the "new heavens" is made up of 144,000 annointed christians and the "new earth" are those that will inhabit the earth in a paradise.

  i've noticed a sundry of differing minds on this site and i would appreciate any different takes on this scripture found at isaiah and 2 peter thanks still nothing.

  The bible does say God is love,but what does his "track record show" for lack of a better word.If u believe the bible he has always destroyed people for not following him and his laws.He loves those who love him enough to follow his laws.THose who he distroyed probly wouldnt call him a God of love.Anyone can read the bible and come to any conclusion thay want to justify there life style,Im try not to do that.This is the hardest thing to do coming out of the 'truth' i guess.

  i was thinking about this the first time today.

  when jesus introduced the memorial celebration he didn't invite all his deciples.

  only the apostoles were present.

  It could be just a mesuring stick,by that i mean thay use those numbers all the time.We had 14 million at the memorial last yr and only 8,000 partoke.Arn't we special.

  Thanks for the posts,
  mind conrol is vary subjective though and is apart of all religions it seems.Even jesus said "If anyone wants to come atfer me,let him disown himself and pick up his torture stack day after day and follow me continually. For anyone who wants to save his soul will lose it"

  to all those who have in some way left the organization (be it disfellowshipping, disassociating, dis-whatever):.

  come now, i know the amount of people who "realized that wt doctrine was in serious error" and politely handed in their letter of resignation has to be very small.

  the level of bitterness and hostility towards the closest-to-what's-biblical organization has to develop some other way.. what did you do?

  THAY NEW THE LAW JESUS SAID,THAY PREACH LAND OVER SEA,THAY WERE HOLLIER THAN THOU.....SOUND FAMILIAR.THAY WERE ALL ABOUT SHOW.WHEN THAY CONFRONTED JESUS ABOUT WASHING HIS HANDS(WHICH WAS A MUST THAY THOUGHT)JESUS TOLD THEM THEY WERE MISSING THE WIGHTER MATTERS.KIND OF LIKE U AND THAT SMOKING THING,OR BEARD THING,OR I COULD GO ON FOR EVER THING.THEY COULD HAVE EASILY HAVE REASONED THAT,HAY ITS HEALTH TO WASH UR HANDS HOW COULD JESUS SAY THIS ISNT IMPORTANT,AND THAT WASNT HIS POINT,THE POINT WAS DID THAT REALLY GAIN THEM SALVATION?
