I dont think the point of speaking in agreement was in the

letter.i didnt hear the letter first hand, just releyed to me

from my wife( most devout jw of all time) and what i read on

line. These were the reasons given to me by an elder, who

was given this info from a C.O. I guess.

All I can think of is when russell start this group he was

against all organized religion. And they have just continued

Letter to the Congregations (Dateline)

last night my father called me and informed me about "the letter" that is going to be read tonight at his congregation re: dateline.

he said hed let me know what it said, and that "apparently the society feels as though some things were misrepresented on the dateline program.

Two reaons given for not going on dateline.

1) media can edit and air only part of a conversation,
take quotes out of context and not giving full meaning
what was said.

MOST IMPORTANT
2) bible says you must speak in agreement. Since
those appearing on dateline were still 'brothers'
and 'sisters' to the public eye, it would not be
scripturely proper to speak against another 'brother'

This would not be speaking in agreement.

WT Public Information-Position On Murder

how would the wt public information explain their position on other crimes such as bank robbery, rape, or even murder?

would they present their position in the same way as child molestation?

if so here is an example for wt media to post with the proper changes.. .

Intimadation happens in all avenues of life.

If i worked for a imployer and found out something

that the ceo was doing illegially, and he told me

if you go the the police I'LL FIRE YOU! or even worse.

I may think to my self 'were else will i go' , 'i make

a good living, i'm comfortable', etc..IT IS STILL

MY RESPOSIBILTY!

Parents, dont let intimation allow you from doing the right

thing, also, any organiation that would use such

intimadation is evil to the core and should be exsposed!

Bill Bowen has gone a long way towards that and should

God is Jesus

i am looking for more scriptures that can prove to a jehovah witness that god is jesus, and jesus is god.i found only one verse so far in 1jo:5:20: and we know that the son of god is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his son jesus christ.

this is the true god, and eternal life.. if you know more scriptures that say directly that god is jesus please tell me the verses the jhw will see plainly that jesus is no way an angel, and he is jehovah god almighty.. my friend said if i can prove by the bible only that jesus is god he will leave the jhw society, and he will know that they are teaching lies and they would be to him a dogma religious sect.

my friend gave me a booklet called should you believe in the trinity?, and is jesus christ the almighty god.

Does it really matter?

Whether jesus is God or Gods first born does not matter.

What is undeniable is that for christians jesus IS our

savior and only hope for salvation. The real issue to me

is not whether the trinity is true or not,but the distortion

jws have that the greek scriptures were not writen for us.

(great crowd) And that jesus is not my mediator!

If jesus is God, Great!

If Jesus is not, thats cool too.

Either way negates the point that jesus was the focus.

( they were called CHRISTians in the first century, the

same is true today) JESUS is our salvation, by Gods will,

or his own!

inmates, and funny it seemed that most if not all seemed

to have "found God".They talked about jesus,and there at

peace, have faith,etc... It reminded me of a person who

was inactive when I was going to the meeting, he had a

heart attack,the next thing you Know hes attending meeting

again. I remember people talking,saying, It gave him a wake

up call.

Athiest, say you find out that you have a illness and

have six months to live, what will you do? Will you try

to "find God" just in case?

This is obveously a hypathedical, and no way am i try to

make fun of anyones belief system.I personally go back and

forth between arguements on bothsides of the issue(God or no

God)I personally think about it and try and figue out what I

would do. I just find it cerious how some try and become

religious all of a sudden in there late stages of life.

Why believe in the Bible?

now i know that a few of you would give me some sarcastic answers as to why to believe in it, or maybe i should say, have faith in the god who inspired it.. but i want to know why a person should believe in it?

i know that i want to, i want to believe in a god who cares for us, i want to believe that he will put an end to the misery that surrounds us, i want to believe in a hope for the future.. i am not trying to be idealistic either.

but is there solid evidence to believe in it.
