What was your favorite cartoon that you was allowed to watch growin up JW ?
by StoneWall inhands down my all-time favorite was the flintstones.
it's just so hard for me to compare anything else to its humor, cleanliness, appeal to young as well as older ones at the time.. .
no matter how bad a mood i would be in after school i could always count on fred and barney to screw something up to make me feel better lol.

I liked the Flintstones too. I don't know what my favorite series was, but this episode of Droopy was the funniest cartoon I've ever seen. I was a young mother when I first saw this; I literally slid off my couch into the floor laughing so hard.
The outlaws are trying not to make any noise and wake up the sheriff and Droopy keeps hurting them - oh, the things they have to do to keep quiet!

Journey-On! I'm new, but I watched you leave and that whole thing made me a little sad. I'm glad you're back.

I Am Civilian Employee of the Month!!!
by snowbird ini was notified of this 15 minutes ago.. my boss found out that i have an eidetic memory, and is quite impressed that i can tell him who has paid fines, when, and how much.
he's a mess!.
i get a plaque, a reservation for the end-of-year banquet, and - if we had such a thing - parking space #1. the best he can do is a space right alongside the highway!

what was the one sound bite or comment that helped you see the light?
by siy inthis was a few years ago now, i was on the work one day with an elders elder.. you now the type!.
& he said this to me me (now i would love to know if you heard this one if its from a wt mag).
"how you are viewed by others (& so treated) is a reflection of how god views you".

For me, it was that idiotic notion that the human heart - literally, the blood-pumping heart - had a sort of thought process of it's own.
James, you mean they had an assembly part on this? How embarrassing. I remember reading about that in an old publication and bringing it up in conversation; got my head bitten off.
For me, it was no one thing; just bits and pieces over time. The comment that helped me most was perhaps the one ringing inside my head as I walked out the door of my last meeting - "you'll know the truth, and the truth will set you free".

Welcome, arkaev.
I know what you mean about being shocked to find out there is no such thing as true friendship in that organization. Sincere truthseekers are eventually forced out.
It seems you have your head together though. There are tons of information here to sort through; I'd tell you to use the search feature, but I've not had too much success at that; I probably just don't know how to use it properly. You'll find your way. Glad to have you here.

my friend has realised that it's not the truth.....not sure whether her belief in the above will change though.. thenks bbinkss.

bb:
In your opening post, you addressed this question to those who still believe in God. Following that premise, can you also stipulate that:
1. the Bible is true
2. Jesus was sent to save mankind
?
If so, I think I might have an interesting question for you to ponder.
