JW religion is not all that bad really
by veen ini know we all have issues with the borg, but really i think there are far more despicable religions on the go, namely american style evangelical christianity.
i'm watching a film called 'jesus camp' as i type and all i can say is any of you idiots who post on here who say you left the jw's and have now found jesus are totally retarded.
you really need to get a grip on reality and stop needing religion as a crutch.

I watched Jesus Camp not too long ago myself. I believe it to be the scariest, most offensive film I have ever seen. What that woman (and Evangelical Christians in general) are doing is despicable & terrifying. No other way to look at it. That being said, it does not, by any means, soften or downplay the destructive nature of the Jehovah's Witnesses. they are every bit as despicable as the people outlined in Jesus Camp. At least the Evangelicals are fairly straightforward and look you in the eye when they stick the knife in. The WTS is sneaky, underhanded, & dishonest. That crazy bat of a woman in Jesus Camp pretty much put it all out there, even as crazy and poisonous as her message is.

people do things against the society's accepted norm.
murder, theft, rape, or sometimes they just act like complete asses.

It always annoyed me when active JWs would comment ad nauseum about how shitty of a person they would be if they weren't a JW. They'd "screw everything in sight", "steal", etc. Pretty much character flaws or seriously flawed people that would think that way.

If anyone bothered to read the article they would also see that by 'opting out' of the treatment meant they would spend longer prision terms behind bars. I say let them opt out, and stay in prison longer, that way they can't be out raping and molesting young boys and girls.

Why the WT Society is DOOMED!
by Gill inyesterday morning i was listening to 'thought for the day', on radio 4 bbc.. a rabbi was discussing why the jewish faith had survived for thousands of years.. he pointed out that the centre of the faith was the children.
because the children were put first they wanted to stay in the faith as the faith respected them and so they respected the faith in return.. the problem with the wt society is that it puts itself first and the children are just a nuisance to be sat silent in meetings, disciplined for wriggling, talking, and just being children.
the leaders of the wt despise children and only love themselves, giving only lip service to the care children should receive and more importantly the respect children should receive.. therefore, with offspring of jws leaving the wt at the rate of only 1 in every 8 children remaining, the writing is on the wall of the watchtower society.

Predicting the fall of the WTBS is an exercise in futility, and smells of bitterness.
It's a multi-billion dollar enterprise that has been in business for over 150 years. Multi-billion corporations with long histories tend to keep around awhile regardless of how bad they are 'screwing up'. Think of Ford, Northwest Airlines, RR Donnelley, Wells Fargo Bank, etc.

i got a chance to meet paul williams (singer/actor) of "phantom of the paradise" and composer of great many songs like.
"just an old fashioned love song", "the rainbow connection", "you and me against the world", "we've only just begun", etc .... .

The ability of the JWs to deny the undeniable, is pretty large. I mean, I am not really femme, but I'm not super butch, didn't care about sports, or any of the other "normal" things boys did growing up. Pretty obvious if you paid attention, but my family and the JWs were oblivious. LOL
