If one were to make a concise answer to what was the motive of the all the leaders of the WTS/JWS it would have to be placing the power of god in their own hands in an effort to lure and control others.

The GB are going to tow the party doctrinal line or they too might get labeled an apostate and DFed just like you and when they do they lose their food and shelter, their medical and dental care, their cars and insurance, their air travel around the world .
They could possibly get booted out penniless with nothing, not to mention the loss of the friendship and socialization they have built as being in the organization.

The WTS has been corruptly marketing the end times Armageddon soon for over 140 years, you could say it was this marketing effort which actually made the WTS and created religious following the Jehovah's Witnesses (public sales representatives) expand in accountable numbers over the years.

today a dutch judge ruled that jw elders and the jw branch cannot invoke clergy-penitent privilege when it comes to information used in a judicial committee.. jw had filed a complaint with the courts because the branch office, two kingdom halls and a few elders' homes were raided by police almost 2 years ago in search of evidence related to child abuse issues.. jw argued that the information that was taken by police is protected by clergy-penitent privilege.
today the judge ruled that 1) an organization doesn't haven't such a privilege, 2) jw elders don't always act as spiritual counselors.
their actions as judges in judicial committees aren't protected by privilege, and 3) conversations jw have with their elders are often not confidential at all (as per jw policy) so jw elders can't rightfully invoke clergy-penitent privilege to maintain absolute confidentiality, because there isn't absolute confidentiality in the first place.. jw are thinking about appealing the verdict..

The Kingdom of the WTS/JWorg. is where men built up their own power and authority if they were sanctioned by god himself, luring people into their Kingdom to be their subjective and submissive slaves.
But wait they were apostate false prophet sinners who the bible says to not listen to, let alone to subservient and loyal to ????
today is the 75th anniversary of the end of wii in europe.

eight years ago, i lived in a kind of "retirement" hotel.the palm house.no - it wasn't an old folks home.
it was an ancient folks home.mostly senior ladies living off of faith and a dead husband's money.. my encounter with jesus came about in that environment.. once a week there would be a coffee and doughnuts get-together to get to know your neighbors.. well .
.i got invited repeatedly, badgered, coaxed, pestered and i gave up.
