One of the guests on Rick Ferron's call-in phone conferences talked about it. If you use Search at the top of this page and type in the key word "obesity" you will get hits for it on a string back in 2006 here. One poster mentions his own father as someone who was deleted as a ministerial servant for being obese. I don't believe it had anything to do with gluttony which is habitually overeating, just being too overweight. He was not disfellowshipped but deleted. The person who talked about it on Rick's show might have been David Riccaboni. I'm not sure and don't have time to listen to that whole tape or any of the others. If you do, though, here it is.

The Governing Body considered doing so but did not implement it fully. When I was in the Watchtower Society back in the 1970s and 1980s I think they considered it then but also didn't go ahead with it.
we have this hounder in our hall who doesn't like people chewing gum in the hall.

Lawrence Hughes wrote early on that the donated money was put into a trust and he also told its purpose. You may be saying you want to see how much went to this or that attorney that has helped him, how much to which photocopying service for documents etc. Although I don't have a trust account myself, I know someone else who does and they write out checks that allow for public scrutiny upon request, and law enforcement, tax authorities etc can look into accounts anytime with cause. His honesty has been 100 percent all along; rather fault the Watchtower.
Watchtower gets up to a billion dollars a year and yet refuses to open its books to anybody for detailed inspection and auditing, and so far the law doesn't make it open those books. Some U.S. Senators have proposed religous organizations including Watchtower start opening the books for all to see, and so that would be a lot more just. Lawrence is already transparent, voluntarily so; now let Watchtower be forced by law to be transparent and quit whining that it's the great persecution/Tribulation.
As to ex-JWs like Bill Bowen, Lawrence Hughes and Brenda Lee asking friends to consider supporting efforts to help adult and child victims of rape by pedophile and also wrong deaths from bleeding, fed useful low-level arsenic leading to death etc, let's note that Watchtower not only asks for and gets $1 billion a year but keeps begging for more, some of which it uses to defend and pay for the actions of its pedophiles who have mostly been among the Bodies Of Elders.

I once saw statistics showing for silentlambs.org and those indicated many people viewing the site were from the Carribean and South America. If I remember right the main places were Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Chile.
Any comments on this would be appreciated. Are you noticing the expansion of the crisis? The number and percent of pedophiles among elders and ministerials servants have increased since 1972 when the Society said the BOEs need not delete them if when they confessed several years had passed since the pedophilia and they still enjoyed Jehovah's blessing.
The consequence hit hardest first in the U.S., but keeps reacing crisis stage in one other land then then still another. I predict in a year or two we'll be seeing more posts about JW kids being molested coming from out of Africa as well as Latin America.

In the U.S. it is the year for political elections including about the new President, so I imagine that has something to do with the frequent mentionings you speak of. I had thought the special training sessions for all U.S. elders had already taken place but you must be right since there's been no news about them posted here yet. I doubt they are just for "pumping up" or motivating, but possibly some of that mixed with revised training on handling child abuse so as to protect Don Adams, Ted Jaracz and the rest of their cronies from having to sit in court.
