:I suspect this questioning voice was frog-marched to the back room smartly and demoted to 'private'.
Would you believe that all had the same “huh?” look on there face. Even the ones who are first to be lock step in there loyalty to the organization had a puzzled look on there face, my guess at the time (and this is only my guess) they had a fleeting moment of thought. (you mean I’ll have to answer for the way I act?)
I know I agreed with the brother and more than half the body had there head shaking in agreement with his statement.
I was talking to a long time friend who was a congregational servant back in the old days and still serves as an elder out west, and he said sometimes the branch (not allowed to call them the society anymore<- that letter I do have) said they test out cretin talks to see the response they get in cretin areas, he speculated that because of the outright willingness to question this they just dropped it as a topic.
Nothing happened to that brother who saud that during the elders meeting, if anything he’s gotten worse (by the branches prospective) while conducting the watchtower he actually corrected a sister when she answered “about the generation being new light” he said “oh forget about that. This probably won’t be the only revision we’ll have on it, just read your bibles!”

"Anointed" In the WTBTS?
by AGuest into the household of god, israel, and all those that go with... may you have peace!.
there are many in the wtbts who partake and profess to be of the anointed, there is, in truth, however, no true anointed in the wtbts.
there cannot be, for the admonition is:.

I think there is something you are not thinking of in this statement. First none of the bride of Christ are harlots they are virgins. Second Christ told us that we would be mixed in with unclean things, the weeds mixed in with the wheat, the fish gathered in the fishnet. Third in all these illustrations we do not leave the wheat field or the fish net although we are surrounded by unclean weeds and fish, but it’s the angles that separate us at the final day.

Saul isn’t a good example because he was the anointed of Jehovah. Appointed by holy spirit not by man or a body of men but by God himself.

The Governing Body dose not appoint Elders or Ministerial Servants anymore (apparently they are to busy) they now appoint a body to appoint them so it was brought out that we can not claim to be appointed by holy spirit.
So the C.O. gave us the hypothetical if you were appointed an Elder and you were acting “As a Christian” should, then you can cosider yourself appointed by holy spirit. If by the next time he comes if you're not acting Christian any more you no longer can consider yourself appointed by holy spirit and should let him (the C.O.) know that you do not qualify anymore.
I remember this causing a lot of questions from a few elders one shouted out, "Then why are we even here if we're not appointed by holy spirit anymore."
I’ve spoken to a few other elders out here in the east coast and there bodies had the same reaction, but it seems like the further west the brothers seem to not know what I’m talking about. -

Dose anyone remember this? I was telling to a brother from Ohio about it and he said he never got that talk before.

Dispelling Watchtower Myths of RC Beliefs
by Amazing inover the last two years, as i moved back to the catholic church, i have been confronted with objections by several people regarding certain catholic teachings.
these concerns are almost always the same, and are founded in mythology created by the watchtower society, and some evangelical denominations.
god can and does use fallible men to do infallible things?

During the time of the kings of Israel there were good kings and bad kings, blatant pagan worship mixed in with true adherence to the Torah. Just look at the striking examples in the difference of worship with regard of the kingly rule under Ahaz and with his son’s Hezekiah. But Jehovah was still the God of Israel through it all.
Even as a Jehovah’s Witness I see this to be true in the case of the RCC. I think the point is made clear in 1Clement ch.43-45.
:>>>>I just wanted to add to clarify my statement. If you were looking for the physical aspect of apostlitic succession you would find it in the RCC. But you know as well as I do that the Church is the body of those called by Christ not any man made Organizations.<<<<: -

Christians - What do you believe about Armageddon?
by JayBird ini've always wondered what mainstream christianity's viewpoint is in regards to armageddon.
i understand there's no timetable.
but that sense of urgency that exists with jws doesn't seem to be there either.

Maybe that’s why you didn't ask the right questions.
