Why do most people not think?
by llbh ini have just had a long conversation with a dear friend, and we came to the same conclusion most people do not really think.. he is 75 and is fizzing with ideas, got a phd at 60. in fractals( no have little idea what they are).
for instance it was and is blindingly obvious to me that the price of oil would drop, it has a little.
the reasons are simple and i am prepared to discuuss that if you want.. i have observed in relationships recently, my own included, that we ignore the what is happening, and often to our, and our familie's long term benefit.

Spirit Directed Organization..How?
by Blueblades incorrect me if i'm not understanding this phrase, 'spirit directed organization'.. my understanding is that the watchtower has recently taught ( someone may remember the exact watchtower that this was taught ) that the anointed and every jehovah's witness has the same holy spirit, no more no less.. nothing special is directing the watchtower society when it comes to understanding the scriptures.
.
why then do they keep on using this phrase, that they are being directed by holy spirit and still use it when asking one of the baptism questions.. if they have no 'special knowledge', how is it that they write talks about being directed by holy spirit especially when it comes to distrct convention talks.. blueblades.

Muhammad sounds like one insecure, vindictive and primadonna mofo. Perhaps he should join Jesus in intensive counciling to overcome his delusions of grandeur. Peace be upon these crazy bastards. Bring_the_Light

Rochester, Minnesota District Convention
by Bring_the_Light inwanna go?
no shananagans, just malicious associating wit dubs while thinking apostate thoughts.

Actially no, but it works, so ok :oP. I was just alluding to the protester that crashed some political event (forget which) and got youtube famous for saying "don't taze me bro!" right before being tasered. hehe. Do JW enforcerd use tasers just for having apostate thinking? there's a certain fear factor with these things. I describe it as "I've never seen sheep get violent, but it could happen".

Anybody going? Wanna go? No shananagans, just malicious associating wit dubs while thinking apostate thoughts. Its been 10 years, so I consider it an anniversary of sorts. I also want to see what kinda apostapeople show up. Can someone teach me the secret handshake? I might be on one of their (WTBS) "lists", due to some recent ill-advised truth telling to an excessively dubish person, wanna see how the Thought Police operate. "Don't taze me dude". Wee! :oP Lets bring the Light, Bring_the_Light

Disfellowshipped for Beavis and Butthead
by donny ina friend (who no longer attends meetings) told me about an incident about seven years ago in north carline involving one of her male friends.
this friend has ceased believing the society's diatribe for some time and was only staying in it in order to associate with friends and family.
he had visited a friend in a town about 30 miles away and heard a sunday talk from one of that congregations elders.

Dogs on the bed yes no?
by restrangled inthis is a lighter topic.. how do you feel about your dogs on the bed?
forbid it?.
my boys are allowed on the bed all day but at night we say "down to the crate" the crate happens to be a very expensive leather couch with many pillows.. they listen to what ever we say, but the human bed seems to be the best place.. i change the sheets every other day.....can't stand the itchy, scrachties!.

The JayDub answer: While some may find it cute or cuddly to sleep with their pets, how should a Christian view such practices? Certainly allowing one's pet on the marriage bed could be a wholesome experience expanding the right relationship with ones pet. However, beware of the dangers of beastiality. Excessive of improper touching, cuddling, heavy petting, or kissing could lead to impure feelings and fornication with the beast. Surely a Christian would not wish to put themselves in a position where sex with an animal could ensue! Surely then, Christians should avoid the practice of sleeping with their pets or anything with an orifice to which they are not spiritually wed. (see also: fuzzy comforters, the spiritual dangers)

except breathing.
Pretty sure there is a JW and "worldly" way to breathe too. Not sure, but seldom does one find something you can't do by JW standards. For instance if you had a chronic congestion that impaired your speech and interfered with your ability to preach, or was just audible during meetings, a dutiful dub would have no qualms about letting you know that Jehovee requires you do something about it (starting with feeling bad about it, followed by some kind of compliance with Jehovee's directive).

profanity
by janitorforlife inmy disfellowshipped dad told me leaving "the truth" had not been good for me as i used too much profanity and liked to drink.
when i first became "free" i guess i went overboard with profanity and enjoyed the freedom to go to bars if i wanted.
they were novelties.
