Interesting calculation for the start of the GT and Christ's return

i found this quite interesting blog which gives evidence that the gt is about to start in autumn 2008 and jesus would return in 2012. at least for those who are still interested in bible chronology and prophecy it might be worth a read.
these guys seem to have no connection to ron weinland or the cog people, looks more like jws/exjws.

Do JW's reveal all their doctrines to those they study the Bible with?
by BonaFide inyes, the fairly new bible teach book contains some info in the appendix, but do witnesses include that in the study?.

Yes, 8 healthy people working full time for 100 years could conceivably build a box to the dimensions specified in the bible. But I have a couple of questions for you...
Why did you personally attack someone simply cause they disagreed with you? (As in proclaiming that they had an IQ that would make them retarded.)
Do you actually believe that the flood story is legitimate?
Is your only point that a group of 8 people could build the physical ark in 100 years, or are you actually proclaiming your belief that these events occurred?

Lets see, this is coming up on ten years ago...
I had roommates at the time, and I went out for the day. I was gone for the afternoon, but someone underage came over and drank one beer with my roommates while I was gone.
I was pulled aside and lost all my priviledges, including being able to give even #2 talks.
I was already on my way out, but that sure sped things up for me.

What were described as spirits two to four thousand years ago would possibly be described as something else entirely today, assuming they, as in "spirits", exist at all...
Only in the realm of religion, and all things spiritual for that matter, does there seem to be an utter and complete lack of progress with regards to human thinking, imagination and intellectual integrity and honesty. We as a population should have moved beyond the belief in "spirits" a long time ago and explored other worldly beings, if they exist, far more critically.
Oh, and yes, the Jehovah that the WTBS worships, if he did exist, would be a wicked spiteful creature.

bizarre artwork in watchtower
by cameo-d inhello people.. i found a couple of these magazines in a lobby and was flipping through.
i thought it was a current issue, but i just now realize it is from july1, 2007.. i am not intesested in anybody coming to my house to give me bible lessons, so i will tell you that upfront.
it is the weirdest thing i have ever seen in a sunday school book and it makes no sense to me.

Most of the artwork is an attempt to artistically represent an item described or depicted directly in the bible...
Your interpretation/extrapolation could be just as accurate as the next one, and you wouldnt be alone in suggesting that the "chariots" flying through the sky in the bible are spaceships from an alien civilization. They could be anything, including completely made up...but sure, your description could have just as much merit as the next one.
As was stated earlier though, one thing about this board is that the vast majority of us are either ex-jw's or people who realize that it is not the "truth" and just stick around for our families sake. Personally, I am an ex-jw...
