"I remember when this was announced from the platform that the Watchtower Society had to be registered with the Australian Charity and Non-Profit Commission.
The brother was visibly annoyed about having to announce this. Then he brightened up as he went on to deliver the "theocratic announcements."
It's as if they think they are above the law."
I forgot to mention that the body of elders provided only one copy of the information to be shared with the whole congregation. Made sure that I read it afterwards. I have a keen interest in the financial and legal matters of the Watchtower Society.
When the company I work for wants all of its members to be aware of new information, they make sure that each member has their own copy of the information.

the court on the rule of confidentiality of penitential communications and evidentiary privilege--.. decision reads:.
"the law generally protects the confidentiality of communications with clergy like those of kendrick to the elders here.".
"if the person has a constitutional right to independence in making religious choices, the recognition of an evidentiary privilege is an apt means of protecting that autonomy.
"Every lawyer who has ever sued a corporations has stated that money = change. It's one of the most powerful ways to encourage change. You can't put a corporation behind bars. If religion hides behind the first amendment, then attacking their source of power (money) is the best way to pursue change from the outside." - tim310rd
Money seems to be the only language that corporations understand.

i thought this article had some interesting interesting comments including this, "if a pastor or church leader has ever told you that the bible commands christians to tithe or give 10% of their income; hit you up for multiple offerings during one service; made you march up front to give; asked you to donate to a mysterious "building fund" or give a "first-fruit" offering; or even given special recognition to big givers in your congregation, lee and other pastors have a message for you:.
you are getting played.. these rituals, they say, violate new testament teachings about how and why people should give.

what was it that moved your child to return to jehovah?
asks the speaker.. .
well it was the missed association with the family, says brenda sutton proudly and unflinchingly.. andd heres why, i had always told our kids... i would die for you, i love you, would die for you, but if you ever leave jehovah i wouldnt be there.
"How dumb are the G.B. to use this as a demonstration at a K.H. let alone an Assembly -Convention ?
Do these people even realize what they are saying ? The child was held to ransom by it`s parents." - Smiddy
I don't think that I could have worded that any better, Smiddy.
a month ago someone inquired about where the case against watchtower in otuo v watchtower was at currently.
firstly the claimant has brought two separate claims against the watchtower .
case 1 relates to a suit in slander premised on the words , "frank otuo is no longer a jehovah witness".
Thank you for sharing.
