Nanette - I'm sorry to hear about what your grandaunt has been through.
I like the suggestion from ABibleStudent.
i discovered that my 96-year-old grandaunt had named her jw elder as personal representative of her estate and another jw "best friend" as her power of attorney.
i learned that they used a financial advisor at wells fargo advisors to help raid my grandaunts bank accounts in the years before her death, and then the wt and jws received most of what was left of her estate.
i am currently working on a book to expose this horrific practice.

hi all :) been a looooong time since i've been around.
anyways, i was wondering if the kingdom hall reno/upgrade scam is going on in australia as well?
the hall where i live apparently needs a complete gut and redo (admittedly the decor was horrid).
Three halls to be sold in Adelaide and plans for a new one to be built.

about a month ago i posted what had happened to two elderly sisters who were reprimanded by a couple of elders for crying because the jw broadcasting was going to be stopped at the kingdom hall and it was up to each publisher to learn how to use the internet.
if you recall the sisters got together with my mom and talked about it and it resulted in all of them declining to make meals for the pioneers.

I don't usually sing at the meetings. (I just stand up holding the tablet.) Last week, when I saw the words, royal commission, in the songbook, I sang my own version in the second verse.
"Oh what penalties there will be
for leading the commission astray
twenty thousand dollar fine
or five years in the brig"
i just thought i would mention this on the off chance they might be lurking here.
the two quotes are.
(1)vincent toole ="i've never heard of the term 'theocratic warfare'".
During the Steven Unthank case, a solicitor from Vincent Toole Solicitors, told the court that "there was no such thing as the faithful and discreet slave. It doesn't exist. It is a theological concept only."
His staff have used "theocratic warfare" before.
recently i have fallen ill with a serious case of chickenpox (shingles).
three weeks down, high fevers, and the blisters attacked mostly my scalp and face, but then also my whole upper body.
i looked horrid, truly like a mutant monster out of a nuclear disaster.
Hi EdenOne
Sorry to hear about your illness. Good to know that you are on the mend. I've heard others recommend homeopathy as a remedy to treat shingles as well.
Great to hear that your son has been accepted into university.
i actually started clapping at that point, as his honour explained to the wt type creep sycophantic slithery lawyer that........" i understand that we all have issues to face in life and .....that is a part of life...........however it has become obvious that this man ....is in such a position to assist with this investigation.....".
it boils down to the fact that stewart outright accused the latest witness of misleading the royal commission and this lead to some document searches which led his honour to conclude that they had been protecting mr jackson.
this was a warm and fluffy moment folks.................brilliant stuff!!!!!
firstly, thank you to anyone who is in support of this rc.
no one has shown anything but great interest and empathy for those who were abused.. i don't know who this simonsays character is though and i find him to be very rude and ignorant.
it takes all kinds to make the world go round i suppose.. today i was contacted by a staff member of the royal commission.
Great news, Umbertoecho.
I am impressed with the calm, professional attitude of the Royal Commission team.
They have empathy and understanding of what people have gone through.
every week there is some sort of demonstration on how to offer the latest magazines or monthly offer.. will hq prepare the flock for the inevitable flood a questions about the abuse scandal or will the poor sheep be left to navigate that field on their own?.
I've already said to somebody at the hall they need to have an answer ready for this question at the doors.
"How does the two witness rule protect children?"
Deer in the headlights look
