  Do JWs really believe the end is near?

  or do they merely pay lip service to the idea?

  i have no doubt that some of them sincerely believe.

  but when i was a kid, growing up in the '80s, i didn't know of a single witness, myself included, who didn't believe the end was close.

  While i dont agree with the witnesses i think the general feeling in christianity is that the end is close. With the current world events im inclined to agree. Acording to my brother not a JDUB But a christian who went to a seminary school for a year, China is going to march against Isreal to please the arab nations. China becoming very industrilized and is going to need lots of oil. Acording to him theres a body of water thats being damned up and a road in china being built that leds right up to this body of water. All china has to do is take there 250,000,000 man army and march right on to isreal and that is god is going to intervine the rapture will happen and blah blah blah. I kinda take it with a grain of salt but like i said with the current state of the world idk it could happen.

  Have you ever caught Elders in compromising situations?

  i ran into two of them at a (r) rated violent movie during a very boring assembly once, i knew them and they knew me i didn't give a dam and they knew it, they seen me go out and i seen them go out of the theate so we were all even and grinning all the way back to events center.

  so anyways it was meeting night to night and like always i had to go i showed up late of course so i can miss the first song.

  i wasn't wearing a jacket of course so i stood out like a sore thumb.

  during the bible highlights i wanted to bring out john chap 14:6jesus answered, "i am the way and the truth and the life.

  So anyways it was meeting night to night and like always i had to go i showed up late of course so i can miss the first song. I wasn't wearing a jacket of course so i stood out like a sore thumb. During the bible highlights i wanted to bring out john chap 14:6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." it took some balls but i really wanted to bring out what the bible says word for word. Unfortunatly bro so an so who is also the PO purposely didnt call on me cause he knows im a rabble rouser. I took a moment and looked around at all the blank looks on the peoples faces and it sickens me to know that there all brainwashed. Blah blah blah come to meetings then the middle song time for a trip to the bathroom Like clockwork. Then there was the highlight of my evening during the second part of the meeting about making your load light and going out in field circus and i made a comment about how we can throw are burdens on Jehovah and Jesus what there saying is and im quoting what i said word for word "lean on me when your not strong he'll be your friend he'll help you carry on, Cause we all need somebody to lean on" I was this close to singing it. afterward there was some healthy laughter especially form the bro giving the talk. Next part place what the bible REALLY teaches, Ha if they only knew. Then the last song i would hum the first five stances so it looked like i was singing and then at the last stanza in stead of saying jehoba now is king i would sing Christ Jesus now is king. Sigh i can wait till Sunday(denotes sarcasm) Ex-smoker signing off

  Hot Food at the DCs past...What was it like?

  i came in to the "loving" organization when they had the nasty cold food so i dont know how good the hot cooked food was.

  my ex says it was pretty good, but should i have belived her?

  i would think hot food made for a happier time at least for the eaters.. brzfst.

  so anyways im still going to meetings cause of my folks, my dad mainly.

  but i stopped wearing the jacket, it is actually quite liberating.

  ive also started wearing a chain with the na( narcotics anonymous) logo on it.

  i was always uncomfortable singing at the meetings when i was a kid.

  as an adult, i rarely if ever sing anymore because i think it is a joke.

  sit down, listen for 45 minutes.

  So mindless i purposely show up late so i can miss the first song. Then go to the bathroom so i can miss the second.At at the Third i just mouth the words or hum so i dont have to sing that mindless drival. Oddly enough up untill last night i was listening to the kingdumb melodies to fall asleep I had used to smoke pot for 5 years and always needed that night cap to be able to got to bed. But when i cleaned up and moved back home i started listening to the songs to fall asleep( i had used to do that untill i was 17. At 24 though i said wait a second let me try listening to some music i really like. So no more kingdumb melodies to fall asleep for me
