I am unaware of a decision in this case as of yet and I assume most of you have read the actual newspaper articles.

John Kerry on Larry King Live
by Mulan inlast night john kerry and his wife, teresa heinz kerry, were on larry king live.
heinz kerry: yes, absolutely.
kerry: absolutely.. .

I think what he was saying is that while he believes it is wrong personally, he doesn't feel it is his place to make that decision for others.
I like that, having come from a religion where your freedom to make a personal choice is taken from you, if you want to stay in that religion. I just like the way he sounds.
I agree with Mulan's comments on this one. The comment last night about the intelligence community wanting to brief him last week on the terror front and him stating that he did not have time to be briefed on the intelligence information while is was going to a fund raiser ... did though ... cause me to seriously pause. hawk

Really, how, especially since Saddam was a CONTRIBUTOR to that Terror we fight...his funding of Palestinian terrorists...allowing terrorists like Zarqawi to live and operate in his country...the connections that the 9-11 commission say DID exist between AQ and Saddam...though no PROVEN connection to 9-11...the fact that Libya saw the handwriting on the wall, partly due to a mission the SEALS carried out in Lebenon against an Iraqi intelligence agent planning terror attacks in Libya against the US...and the Russian reports of the discovery of Iraqi plots to conduct terror operations in the US...you're right, THOSE items excepted, this was a distraction. NOT!
A few weeks ago I read the press reports from Putan who informed the press of Russia telling the US of Iraqi plots to attack the US prior to GW2. It is amazing how little press play this got in the USA. It was on the CNN web site for a while then off the radar screen it went. Foreign affairs is very interesting at times - especially the stuff we don't hear about. The Russians are at the UN not wanting GW2, yet warn the USA of the terror threats from Iraqi agents on their own soil. Then to make the foreign affairs more interesting, I don't think the USA ever talked about the Russian information in their justification for the war. hawk

The part where otherwise decent people have their head up their ass and their honesty tucked away when they call it that. It's naughty to lie, even if your doing it to yourself first. Far from being part of a war on terror, it has substancially hurt the efforts against terror in virtually every aspect.

Interesting
It should be noted that the normal acts associated with preparing and cooking blood have the effect of fractionating whole blood's components beyond the forbidden forms of red cells, white cells, platelets and plasma. That is, when blood has fresh water added to it, the red cells are immediately fractionated into protein membranes and hemoglobin. When this material is cooked, within only a few seconds of high temperature (like in a cook oven, on a stovetop, on a griddle or a campfire!) white cells and platelets are completely fractionated beyond recognition.
This is very interesting.
Do you have the particular reference wrt this comment?
Sorry to be a pain for the request as I know you are busy but I find this interesting.

To say that doing Iraq did not cause American military and intelligence and governance to take their collective eye off of the W on T and Osama bin Laden, is preposterous.
Yep. That's what I am saying. Oh I bet you can find the odd satilite etc. that moved for a while and of course some of the "upper" parts of the Administrations may have been more focused etc. but the American, British, etc governments are quite large. Hell even the Canadian federal and provincial governments are quite large. But not everybody gets assigned to the same file.
Facts are that the Fort Drum 10th mountain men and women (which are close to where I live) were in Afganistan doing the nasty with A-10 and other fighter support while the 1 Calvry, the 3rd Armor and the Marines were rolling through the desert with USAF support in Iraq.
