  the brooklyn eagle is based within throwing distance of wbts hq.

  i contacted the editor yesterday and this is now at most newsstands and subway entrances around this part of brooklyn.. .

  Well, they probably knew it was coming.

  At first they were alarmed and possibly pi$$ed. No doubt briefing notes were written and scripted for dealing with the Press. There might have been a little debate if the lawyers should respond in writing or if the Hosiptal Information Service dude (Major Spry?) should repsond.

  Then after they read the story, they probably rationalized and rationalized and figured the MSM just missed the mark. Yeah that's it .. no worries ... Joe six pack doesn't care.

  Then they will get pi$$ed again because many JWs read the article and will start talking or phoning and asking what the hell is going on. Then they will realize that this bad press could turn into a lawsuit or two which will cost money. Then they will really be pi$$ed since they realize they could lose some money that was actually budgeted for Tedy's new __x toys.

  So they will have a few more meetings and start bad mouthing people, especially former members. They will practice creed bigotry and start calling them apostates. They will do a whole pile of praying where the lead of the prayers will doom people like Barb and Kerry.

  Then they will come up with a unique strategy that will be bungled. No doubt some sort of letter will be sent to the BOEs and then posted here.

  Just the usual.

  I love the kind of coverage this thing is getting. It is hitting some major papers and tons of small, local papers. The local papers are read by Witnesses AND by the unbelieving mates of Witnesses. You couldn't PRAY for a better audience to reach with this news.

  Yeah, I am even impressed with this one. I remember another of Richard's ones with the child abuse issue getting play but not this kind of play. Even Laurie's hit piece in the Sunday NY Times (that got a header on the front page) got a good hit but it didn't spread out like this.

  Can you imagine trying to be the local elder trying to explain WTF a fraction is compared to a main component and where the justification for it is located in the bible to the local TV news crew in their follow up story .... LOL

  Ahhh .... I like vaccinations in the morning. I hope some doctors take notice.

  We just had a major splash ... again ... in the media that vaccinated millions and millions of people and here we go with Eduardo putting down the article or the people or the lack of distribution it will have.

  I resent your attitude on this db. I also resent your posting on this thread to a point where people like Marvin Shilmer et. al. have to come on and object to your behaviour.

  Do you know just how much work it takes to get the attention of the AP or the The Old Grey Lady for such a tiny organization?

  The way you put down Kerry, never mind Barb, Marvin and others on this db was absolutely disgusting.

  True professionals who take an oath, including legal counsel like you, don't write some of the put downs you have. They stay professional and help where they can.

  This is the first time a major news editor in the Main Stream Press of the USA has actually reported about the components/fractions issue and the many changes in the blood doctrine over the years.

  It's a first.

  Usually all the MSM reports is that the JWs don't accept blood transfusions based on some stupid bible passage. Now its all out there and a lot of people are going to start to wonder WTF is going on and they will not be taken in by the JW propanganda.

  That is huge and you can thank Barb and Kerry (and a few others for that).

  People who were harmed or think they were harmed are also going to see this and realize there is a legal firm who not only can understand the complex issues but also is willing to at least review the merrits of their case.

  AJWRB and others have taken years and years to get information out into the MSM about the idiotic and crazy justifications. For example, banning white blood cells while allowing white blood cells to be used in other situations such as breast feeding for children, transplants and other actual transfusions.

  You can't ask for press play like this. And yes it will be in many papers ... along with Kerry's picture (seeing the AP photographer was with her).

  I agree with another poster. I object to your arrogant “I’m a lawyer so I know it all” attitude.

  If I were you I would be thanking Kerry and Barb for exposing what these monsters are truly doing and maybe stopping the needless death of little kids and adults throughout the world.

  Wait ... this was non issue according to that Eduardo fellow ...

  Given that the publication will now get a huge amount of press play, this should help get people thinking. And it should bring a lot of people who were harmed out to understand that they were wronged and there is a possible legal course they may be able to take .... and there is a lawyer willing to help.

  Of course you probably vaccinated about 50 million people today and tomorrow after they read his in the local papers and hear about it on the radio news feeds.

  im fading, and some of my family now realize we arent going to meetings.

  everytime they phone or speak to me me, they keep reminding ( threatning) that the end is so close, dont give up now.. i just dont know how to respond, i know so much, but dont want to go into the un stuff yet ( dont want to sound apostate just yet) how can i say i dont believe the end is close !

  that armageddon isnt iminent, what scripture can i use to back it up.

  i have been reading this forum for a couple of years now and i know this point has been made before but i truly think it needs to be repeated.

  i am not, nor ever was, a jw and only arrived here to acquaint myself with "jw-ism" because a friend had joined up.

  i needed to study up on stuff so i'd be prepared to (try to) understand where she was coming from with all her new oddball dogmas.

  The biggest turning point (so far) was getting the spine to critically question why God needs men to govern a spiritual organization, when men are inherently fleshly. I'm sure I have a lot further to go, and more sharp corners to navigate ahead. But at least now I am unafraid of finding out what else there is to know.

  You may have a lot further to go but it sure is nice to have your freedom and freewill while you get there! Enjoy it and never lose it.
