Yesterday I met a poster from JWN

about 4 months ago i pm'd poster "emma" because i noticed she was from the same state i grew up in.

i told her about myself and where i grew up, i was not a jw growing up but she was.

as we communicated we eventually realized that we were from the same neck of the woods and then even from the same high school and graduating class.

As we communicated we eventually realized that we were from the same neck of the woods and then even from the same High School and graduating class. I noticed she signed my yearbook too. I'm quite sure we had at least one class together because I remember my yearbook going around the classroom and I think that's when she signed it. When we saw each others picture we remembered each other though we never had communicated other than a hi or smile.

So we are here at my husbands 50th class reunion and we made arrangements to meet. We went to her house because that was the most conveinant for our schedules. We visited for about an hour and it was very nice. If I new how to post our picture in the private section I would.

Has anyone else done anything like that?

40 years on - and still in Damage Control mode!

earlier this morning, i posted off to the the institute of engineers an application for membership as an "engineering associate":.

- today being just over 40 years since the congregation's retards elders made me abandon my apprenticeship.. (in this part of the world, the pre-1975 hype was taken to that level.

not being content to prevent young persons attending university, they went one step further and treated with hostility any youngster who would "tie up five years of their lives" by entering into an apprenticeship.

the day i've been waiting for is here.

i'm flying home to see family and some old friends, most of whom are jw.

since learning ttatt a few months back, i came to the decision i would have to tell my parents that we are no longer active and don't have any plans to return.

Movie BLACKFISH Reminds Me of Watchtower Corporation

you can google it to learn more but blackfish is a documentary about killed whales in captivity.

particularly a male named tilicum who wound up killing trainers, the last one in 2010.. i had to bite my tongue when my jw wife said "whad did ya think?".

i answered but wanted to say that seaworld giving the impression that trainers were most highly educated was a lie, telling the public these were isolated instances of trainer error was a lie, and all their actions and area tions made me think of wts.. trainers were typically not marine biologist but just young eager excellent swimmers.

I think your plan on asking questions to them is good.

When they ask you the probing questions try to turn it around with a question. Awhile back a poster gave some examples of this strategy.
