My favorite response to the question about responding to JW callers: You look tired. Are you OK?

Have a great day to you all too.
I feel for you Lisa. What a challange. I am making the GF pies because my brother is Celiac but GF food is really quite good. He's healthier because of it.

Well me and Ldrnomo are going to my sisters tomorrow. I am making gluten free pumpkin pie and for hors d vores I am making "Devil on Horseback" and Artichoke Hearts Gratin. All are pretty easy to make, the pie crust is store bought. I've never made the hors d vors before but they sound easy. I especially like the name Devil on Horseback. What it is: a date with a smoked almond in the center wrapped in a piece of bacon.
It is so nice to be with my real family even though my married son will be with his wifes family for a "Feast". They will be eating turkey too just under a different name and without us. Oh well. It could be worse.
I am so thankful to be free of the JW Cult and to have a family who was never in and was waiting for me with open arms.

first T-day dinner this year
by Hortensia ini live in a seniors-only apartment complex.
management has a tendency to patronize us, which is interesting and rather entertaining.
today we had our annual t-day dinner for the seniors, catered by a local church.

BESTSELLERS--who actually buys these things?
by Terry injust think, rush limbaugh and bill o'reilly are knocking about on top of the bestseller list to the tune of 52,000+ copies each!.
i say, who buys these books?.
i've read killing lincoln, killing kennedy and killing jesus--but, i did it by sitting in the library--not by plopping down $20+ bucks each.. i only read one rush limbaugh book.. i use to be a political junkie but stopped cold turkey exactly 11 months ago.. i no longer watch any political programs or read any political books.. i'm a lot happier for it it, too.. .

I'm on my second cup of Chamomile. I like Ginger tea. I usually have a root of Ginger in the freezer and I use a microplane to grate it really fine and pour boiling water on it, drink it that way with a little honey. Teavana tea employees are a pushy lot. I like the Youthberry tea. I'll buy some if they have it on sale the day after Xmas. Outrageous prices make me skeptical. I'm going to look for the Punjana. I had a supply of Chinese tea too, all gone now. Never tried the Indian Lipton. I didn't know it's origin.

I finally had some good luck!
by KariOtt inwent to court today for a speeding ticket i got.
i was clocked more than twice the posted speed limit.
it very well could have been my licence.
-
crmsicl
So you were going twice the posted limit? If the limit was 35 that means you were going 70?
I'm glad you don't normally speed. Be careful. okay? Glad things worked out for you.

What was your "Aha!" moment?
by Hortenzie infor me it was when i learned that gb makes their decisions by 2/3 majority vote, not by direction of holy spirit..

like others, i always had doubts that I would not allow myself to examine. Then I read the first paragraph of CoC, that my husband left laying around for me and I said quietly, well I guess he wants me to read this. I could see from Ray's hearfelt disclosure upon introducing himself that this man had it together and was not to be feared.
