Paragraph 9 really got me ticked- So JW's think the wife's job at the KH is to care for the kids while the Husbands are only responsible for making sure his wife gets 10 hours a month so he is not removed? They are retards!!!

Blondie's Comments You Will Not Hear at the 06-22-08 WT Study (MARRIAGE)
by blondie inmarriage and parenthood in this time of the end .
responsible marriage .
hence, those who keep on working hard to preserve their marriage because they want to remain faithful to their wedding vow deserve respect and loving help from the christian congregation.

Disfellowshipped for Beavis and Butthead
by donny ina friend (who no longer attends meetings) told me about an incident about seven years ago in north carline involving one of her male friends.
this friend has ceased believing the society's diatribe for some time and was only staying in it in order to associate with friends and family.
he had visited a friend in a town about 30 miles away and heard a sunday talk from one of that congregations elders.

I already posted this once- but once gave a 5 p.m. Public talk Drunk off my a**- I was on the golf course all day and really didn't care. The rest of the details are a little fuzzy-I am ashamed that I drove to the KH -not that I gave the talk

For not wanting religion you sure discuss it a lot..Are you still on JWD?
by Quirky1 inthis is what my spouse said after i mentioned issues i have seen on here...the bs being combined, the bethelites being reassigned, the possible termination of co's, etc... she said if that i didn't want anything to do with religion that i shouldn't even be on this site looking into issues such as these.
it has made me to wonder if she isn't right.
am i just trying to reason with myself or am i seeking to avenge myself against the wbts?

Is it wrong to burn people to death?
by DoomVoyager ini'm an avid reader of steve wells' blog on religion and atheism.
this article discusses the hebrew god (we all know him as joe hoobie) and his propensity for burning people to death.

Hello! Is there a list of WTS changes since 1995?
by Mr. Ted ina young friend told me about this discussion forum.
i completely "stopped" being a jw around 1995. i was wondering if there is a succinct list -- somewhere on-line -- of changes/events that the wts has gone through in the last 12 years?
i haven't received any of the publications or really spoken with any jws in many years.

144,000 is no longer considered a literal number. It has now been revealed to the witlesses as being symbolic. That is an absolutely incorrect statement. Part of my enlightenment was watching this literal # grow. It is important to verify facts prior to posting them as true statements, The more misstatements that are made might cause one to dismiss JWD prematurely.

How did you handle facing the reality of death?
by song19 infor those raised or who got the truth at a young age, how have you been able to handle the reality that you are in fact, eventually, going to die in this system?.
for me, this was a real hard reality check.
as a witness, my entire life i was convinced that i would see armageddon, that i wouldnt grow old and die.

Song 19, As I get older I find myself reading the obituaries daily. And I have come to realize how little ANYONE knows about life after death. Do not be afraid of the unknown but rather relish not having to live in the constant fear the dubs expect you to live in. It's all about attitude.

expenses -vs- donations............. the fall of the Watchtower empire
by DaCheech inas long as i've been here, i have preached that $$$$$ will be the only way for the wt to drop.. many agree on a small level, but think the wt has deep pockets.. they may have deep pockets, but i bet the investments they have have lost quite a bit since 2001.. my main calculation reguards the following hypothesis::::::.
magazine and literature consumption -vs- donations.
i know of 2 congregations, and let me post some figures:.
-
treadnh2o
They are losing- what we cant ascertain is the private donations being made. Some are quite large. Also, do not forget the "Society" owns an incredible amount of real estate. and has cashed in on the local, national and international real estate markets recently.

WT Cult Evolution Over Last 10 Years
by Farkel inhe thought long and hard before he said he didn't think so, but he did think they were a high control group.
now those of you who know alan are aware that he knows more about the wt religion than everyone in bethel (including the gb) put together.
that was ten years ago, but look what has happened since.. about 8 years ago alanf was making a business trip to new york city and he asked me if i wanted a copy of the wt cd rom.
