  tuesday sees the last group bookstudy for many.

  i know the group that my wife attends will be having a bit of a party afterwards.

  even my son ,who is 17 and has not attended the meetings for the past 6 months, says he wants to go on tuesday.

  staying put for the night.... i was going to leave in the morning to drive to virginia to see my son, dil, and grandbaby.

  but it's pretty much snowing pretty hard...all the way from here to there... so i'm going to wait until next weekend to go.... here's a view from my back door.... brrrrrrr.... has the storm changed your plans?.

  I couldn't help but relate this first teenager to a suicide bomber. She sounds scared but her brain is turned off to any sort of reason.
  
  Hard to believe this could have been me years ago, having this kind of bravado.
  
  I honestly am feeling really sad for this girl. It really reinforces the cult claim.

  Doctrinal ramifications of large increase in 2008 memorial partakers?

  the nearly 10% increase in partakers at the memorial in the 2008 annual service report is a huge increase.

  there were increases in the previous years too.. this massive increase is no doubt attributeable to the 'new light' this year that the calling of the 'heavenly class' was not closed in 1935, as previously taught.

  the new understanding this year is that the calling of the 'anointed' class is 'evidently' still open.

  Expect a watchtower study to be inclusive of the thought that some of these partakers are not genuine (apostates? or mentally unstable) and attempts have people "rethink" think their anointed status.
  
  Also, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a psychological "out" in attempt to reduce guilt. Something along the lines of Jah' forgives
  
  Otherwise it may go up in 2009
  
  
  The other thought I had is that elders may be given latitude not to count someone under extreme circumstances. That may be a stretch though.

  Are you going to your Company Holiday Party?

  mine is saturday at a nice country club... my boyfriend is taking me, though it's not his cup of tea.. he's a really great guy.. our company christmas party used to be at the omni parker house in boston...very formal.

  tonight i have an association holiday party... (csi...construction specification institute) it's being held at the ica (institute of contemporary art) in boston.
