so this morning was the public talk and wt study.
after, we did our usual and went to eat.
the group was mixed ages.
What a great article this was. For years there have been discussion's about this subject. In fact, my wife and I disagreed about the answer to the question.
It was very humble of them to say 'we don't know'. And to admit they shouldn't have taken the stance they did. Props to them. Everyone at our hall loves this article. Esp the sisters

so they are still not completely out of the supposed beast!".
That's just stupid. JW's do not get df'd or even in trouble for joining the YMCA. It's completely a conscience decision. I've asked several elders in different congregations and they all said the same thing. And some of their families are members
if the "truth" keeps changing shouldn't they call it "in search of the truth"?
an orange is always an orange, and apple always an apple they do not change.
so how is it "truth" can change?
Actually it was Jesus who said to exclude the world.
the dubs aren't supposed to?.
i remember being told that the book study was a necessary provision.
it was expected that the dubs would make whatever sacrifices were needed to attend.
The BS has been a wonderful provision for many years, I have enjoyed the small group and deeper material. I have great memories of the bookstudy over the past 30 years. The bookstudy served a great purpose, but it has gotten harder and harder to get to all the meetings, so I think this is a welcomed change. Everyone at our hall seemed to be exited-and now it will be much easier for my family to have our family study. So I will miss the BS, it served a wonderful purpose, but change can be a good thing. I look forward to this one.

my loudmouthed sister asked if there were any announcements.
the bookstudy is hereafter known as "the congregation bible study".
I think this is a great thing for JW's. It is a big challenge to get to all of the meetings (especially with 2 kids under 5) so this will be a welcomed change.
